Default wanted to like this game, but. . .

I really wanted to like this game. Unfortunately I got stuck in the sewer system, the climb up and out, I got as far as the top of the elevator and my next move was the ledge I could almost reach out and touch, but I just could not get the jump rhythm right to get over there. Total bummer. Spent too long trying. That, plus being shot at and chased all the time, really brought the game experience down for me. This isn't the game I thought it'd be, it's not a game as fun as I thought it'd be, and despite it being very pretty and having a very cool storyline, the play is just too repetitive and even on easy it's too hectic for my tastes. I'm not a first-person shooter fan, more of an rpg player, so I was hoping to run around free-styling in an open environment, instead I was shot and killed till I stumbled on the right sequence. Too bad. Like the idea A LOT, but the gameplay just didn't work for me. Adios.

Lol, you only got to chapter 2. You really should stick it out, you aren't even at the coolest parts yet.

Just find a video walkthrough of that part if you're really stuck

Okies. I would advise a walkthrough or even a speed run, as Prilt suggested, on youtube. A speed run is best if you want a quick overview (thats what i did). You'll probably see that the problem is quite easy, if you look at it the right way. i think that i know where you are, and there ARE several ways to do it. if you want advise, ASK, people can help, but elaborate on what you have just done and what you're trying to do, or we don't know where you are.

it can be repetitive, yes. However, you, the player, controls everything that Faith does, and thus can alter the play style at whim. You could focus on speen, on exploring everything, minimal deaths, no guns, the choice is literally there for the taking! I personally am very safe, i like to wall run, I don't like vaulting and try to avoid it, and i absolutly hate large groups of enemies! I try to avoid them, because i don't like using guns, and there usually IS a way around everyone, if you look hard enough.

Difficulty settings affect the AI of the enemies. They are sneakier and harder to kill the higher the dificulty.

Neither am i, my friend! I too, prefer my final fantasies, but this is a good game once you get used to it and overlook its shorntess. I personally hate fps's.

you can...in certain areas in certain chapters. Most of the prologue, the begining of flight, a certain area in ropeburn....there are little pockets of places where the blues won't come to get you, and as long as you have no time limit (which is only in...what? the Boat?) you are free to explore. Not only that, there are usually loads of little shortcuts to make it easier. Again, if you want to find these, look at a speed run (Prilt has found loads). Also, changing your route will make things more interesting!

you have no idea how many times i died ^_~ trouble spots: The storm drains (Jacknife) the ofices (heat) train running (simply because it is easy to die....a lot - ropeburn) and the PK institute. (PK) Other than those little bumps, its a relitivly smooth journey.

i'm not trying to pick on you, but you are being very negitive. Have a lil more faith in yourself! (no pun intended!) Don't be so doom and gloom! Have a go, can't get it? have a break. turn it off. go back to it tommorow, or when ever you feel that you have the idea!

Try again, maybe you'll like it
Good luck
