Re-playing a level : Glitch?

So far, The Boat is my fave level. (Not quite finished it yet though ) However, I've come across a problem when re-playing it.


THIS POST CONTAINS A MINOR SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME YET! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!



The first time you fight the as-yet un-identified person, it's only supposed to last a while and then that door opens. Well, I just re-played it and the door doesn't open! Must have been sparring for a good five minutes too. Even on "easy" it stays firmly shut

Is this a known problem or am I missing something? (I would assume the latter )

NO. You have to keep fighing until the gun turns red and you quickly try to disarm. After that he'll start running and you give chace. After your run you'll mean him again and you carry in fighting untill the gun turns red again and then you finally disarm.
