I'm new on the Mirror's Edge boards. Does anyone know if the developers check in some time to see what the fans think of their game, idea's for the new game etc? Because Mirror's Edge was my favorite game of 2008. I'm a traceur myself and I really don't want the second piece to go more commercial/casual (i.e. lots of gunplay) because the first didn't sell too well...

I really like to give feedback. Can anyone comment on this?

I know that there are people from DICE who go through forums and suggestion places and stuff. So yes, they do check in to see what they're fans think, and ideas and stuff.

The developers check the forums as well as us (the community team) writing feedback reports based on your feedback and suggestions here on the forum.

And I don't think EA or DICE have said anything about the game being about someone other than Faith. It would be cool if we found out like Drake or Kreeg's story. We'll find out closer to release day though

. I heard somewhere that the story is 'an ark,' so a beggining, a middle and an end. The begining (it continues, lol, Newstreamenergy) Is Callaghan's attempt at total dominance over the people, and his attempt to kill all the runners. We can't guess much about the middle but the city and people might be in a state of confusion and chaos, and i guess more characters will be introduced. The end will probably see something catastrophic and Callaghan will be thrown out/shot. Whichever is easiest.

Just another theory

I'd love it if at the end, you have this fight with Callaghan and your on a roof and then he almost throws you off but then Miller,Kate, and other helpful characters bust through a door and then a whole bunch of CPF come and surround Callaghan and he fights off some. But heavy machine gunner's come and then Callaghan gives up and he gets taken to jail.

Hmm. The game definitely needs to end with a big fight. And maybe you almost lose, and the other people come out, but that's not the end. You need to finish him in a one-on-one fight. Maybe he dies and maybe he goes to jail.. Either way is fine. I think the CPF people should change sides and go with the runners at the end, that would be awesome. But all the heavy machine gunners are with PK, and they shouldn't change sides. PK needs to be shut down

Oh, and also, Callaghan might not even fight. I mean, we haven't even seen him yet, but he doesn't really sound like the type. He is the Mayor

Hmm. Well we don't exactly know that he can't fight. I mean he was mayor during the riots. So he could have had people trying to attack him. And they were probably armed. And he did send people to kill Pope. So he could probably fight.
