Is this game any good?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if this game is any good or not. I don't know wether to get it or not because my friend who does have it said that you cannot see yourself. You can only see were you're running and I don't like games like that so please, is it or not? Thanks.

yeah this game is purely first person but if you have the PC version someone added in a small code string that works with the game to give you third person view...its not that great but this game is first person view for the sole reason of making you feel as though you are the runner...kinda kreepy if your a male...females...not so much lol

oh but personally..i love this game....i need to play more myself but i just got to many games to play atm....ill get to it soon

As Maverick said, it's a great game, and a good change from all the shooters out there, but I'd get it for console if I was you, alot of people have said that they bought it for PC and that it crashes or tehy can't even play it.

yeah all their pc problems kinda blow my mind bcuz i run vista and my mirror's edge runs perfectly...with the exception of some graphics lag...sad bcuz my cpu is just a couple poitns under the maximum reqs to play the game

OK, thank you for each others oppinions. I might get this game because I have seen trailers and it does look cool. It was just the 1st Person View but oh well... I'll give it a try anyway. Thanks.

does this game has multiplayer on it, or is it just singleplayer only?

Single player only but if you do Time-trials and speed runs then it's all online with leaderboards. It's a shame it is one player because a whole mulitplayer option would be a lot better. We have discussed a few idea's for the mulitplayer in the Mirrors Edge 2 Idea's thread down this page.

thanks for the info. i actually play online only, singleplayer i only play once (no matter what game) and then i get bored. so i guess this is not the game for me

. i let alot of "good titles" pass because they only had singleplayer option.

ill probably try it out when it gets platinum on the PS3.

It is a really good game, it has to be one of my favourtie games ever. See if you can borrow it off someone and if you like it go out and get it.

This is the way I see it. If I go and buy the game on the day of it's release, or if I spend £30-£40 on it, that's a honour that I bestow upon the game. Only sevral games have had the honour of myself paying full price for them. That's a good sign. ^_^

Mirrors Edge was one of thoese games.

Of the huge number of games I have played in my long life, these are my top 3:
1. Defender of the Crown on the Commodore 64 way back in the old days
1. Forza 2 on xbox
1. Mirror's Edge on PS3.
Played through ME about 20 times. Can't wait for ME2....

Check out youtube. It's full of speedruns and help.
