Default DLC should be free

Are u guys friggin outta your mind?
Really wonderfull game, I enjoyed it very much... but got left with the feeling it didnt last long enough for the money. So great, extra maps, like they release for any decent MP now and then... And now were supposed to pay for them way to go!

think of this mirror's edge game as teh first in a series bcuz it is...there has been many mention that there will be 3 games in teh series...yeah i also felt a little left out in the story but the gameplay was magnificent and i personally would not mind paying 10 dollars for the DLC...just be grateful its not 20+ like some other games

True. The game is simply stunning, but the main flaw is that this game is too short. I started playing it and I was completed the story in under 3 hours. Big whoop. I've been playing GTA4 for well over 50 hours and i'm only half way through. Multi-player would be excilent for future releases, but there is no way I am wasting a whole £8 on Maps to run time trials to when it have no real importance, where as.... Halo 3. Bungie released 3 map packs each costing about £8. Fair enough when the games are part of the Multi-player and a vital part of online play. But paying £8 for a few maps just to run aound on and have not a hopping hells chance of anything good or constructive out of it is POINTLESS. Put that money towards a new game of DLC for a game which you need the DLC to play, or even change your gamertag.

Rant over and C_P out.

I do kind of agree for a game that everyones main and sometimes only complaint is its too short to have us pay for extra content liek a few maps and such an dnot give us our own map maker is pretty lame I bought it though so I hope the money goes to the programmers and not EA

well if the money goes to EA/Dice just remember that all that money will be put into the programmers pockets at one point for the production of Mirror's Edge 2 and more upgrades/bug fixes

I agree. I mean, how else do they get more money? Game sales alone? Yeah, right. That's a big help, considering how much you poeple moan about the game in the first place, you also moan about the price of a DLC for a game that you think is lalalala. ¬_¬

Is Zero and myself the ONLY people to like this game? Eveyone else I meet here seams to just moan and moan...

If you read my post you will see it says clearly I like the game a lot. I just think this is awfull marketing. They would gain more money and a lot more goodwill by just offering the DLC free. It might just be what is needed to justify the price for a lot of people holding off from buying right now.

As an illustration: recent promotions on steam showed that lower prices yielded far bigger turnover for several games. The point is selling more, not ripping off those who do buy it.

supply and demand...the supply is new and the demand is high if not fair so prices wont drop for generally 6-10 months after original release
