Has anyone else had this issue? I get to the part where you have to jump on the moving subway, but as soon as I land and get moving, the game freezes and I can't even alt-tab out, I have to ctrl-alt-del to task manager to close the game. The rest of the game has no issues, but I can't get past the subway part. Any suggestions? As an added note, I don't have the PhysX patch installed because I heard it causes issues with other levels.

yeah consoles do give that kinda worksman security but i like to look for mods for my pc games...yknow sometimes to overwrite the American censor in a game like The Witcher has...i swear best fix ever...the text and dialogue you randomly encouter is so hilarious
sad thing is with the PS3 and 360 you can use usb ports and mods can be formated into an .exe so it can download into your system...but the two consoles refuse to register it...i like the freedom to create wut you want and do what you want with it...consoles obviously limit that...but i will admit this...there is nothing like a slasher and rpg than what a console has...even online slashers and rpgs just seem to get boring faster |

I'd have to disagree about getting a console version. I'm not overly fond of the controls when it comes to quick manoeuvering and button configuration. I'm just so used to using a mouse to look around quickly and all the keyboard buttons are neatly next to each other. I tried the Mirror's Edge demo for PS3 and it almost dissuaded me from buying the PC version because the controls were too clumsy. The PC version, in my opinion, is more superior. However, for someone who is used to console FPSs, I can see the advantage.
Anyway, I got my game working again. It looks like it just needed a few hours break. For some reason, though, it wouldn't install the PhysX patch, despite prompting me and me clicking "Yes". Oh well. Thanks for the advice anyway, gents! Cheers! Last edited by kuko-chan; 24-02-2009 at 01:33 AM.. |
