Default Game cannot start: problem contacting the license server

I just bought mirrors edge and I got the following message every time i try to start the game.
"The game can not start. There seems to be a problem contacting the license server. Ensure your internect connection is active and try again in a few minutes."

My internet connection is working fine for both my computers, my xbox 360 and my PS3. Mirrors edge is in my firewall exceptions list and no other programs on my computer are having problems.

PLEASE HELP! I really really want to play my new game but I wont be able to like this!

I already have sent a support request. Unfortunately through my experience support often sends only generic replys that may or may not help at all.
More often than not it is only when talking to a real representitive or the comunity that I actually ever get needed answers.

Hence, this post.

Yep. True to my past experience the reply to my help request was for windows vista when in the letter I clearly showed that I was running xp.
I tried what they suggested even though it was for vista and nope...didnt work.

anyone know where i can get live tech support for mirrors edge?

Thats toll free I hope...

so far the only fix i have read about is to crack the game...which i would much rather not do. I would like to keep my copy legit.
Its rather sad when the only way to actually use a product you buy is to go through not-so-legal channels to get it to function.

The calls are charged at the UK national call rate from a BT line in the UK, the number maybe included in your BT calls package after the recent changes.

Just wanted to update:
I tried running mirrors edge again to write down the error message it gives so I could google the problem. I tried several searches on google and having bad memory I ended up trying to run mirrors edge 2 or 3 times in a row...

Well, oddly enough the game just suddenly started loading. I didnt do anything to it at all but all of a sudden it works now.

I am not sure HOW it got fixed really....it just worked after multiple attempts. My only guess is that I had an internet browser open when I did it so perhaps that did it....I honestly dont know.
At any rate my problem is now seemingly fixed.

There is, but as these are the UK forums it is assumed you are from the UK. The US support number will be in your manual should you need it again in future.
