I think, either for mirrors edge 2, or as dlc, there should be multiplayer 'Pursuit Mode'
Basically, one player is a runner, not nessarily Faith, and the other is a Pursuit Cop. The runners objective is to stay a certain distance or greater from the Pursuit Cop for a specified amount of time. The Persuit Cop must 'take down' (ie knock out/kill) the runner. If the runner manages to kill the pursuit cop, the pursuit timer is frozen as the pursuit cop player spawns again. If either player dies from falling, the timer freezes for them to respawn. Matches are played out in a fairly free roaming large expanse of city. Both players have a HUD displaying the rough distance and direction of the other player as well as the outrun timer. |

Even a really simple Map Creator would be lovely. Similar in manner to the old TimeSplitters map maker, a simple 3D grid layout with premade components. Wouldn't even be necessary for detail. I would LOVE to make my own map using the new DLC style. Please?

As with the OP, I think mingling through crowds and otherwise getting up and close with people would be a good idea. Make it more fluid and natural than Assassin's Creed though.
I'm kind of on the fence about multiplayer; on one hand, it'd be superbly cool to string together combat moves and have sweet chain moves from building to building. But it could also be unintuitive and clunky and detract from the single-player experience. Other than that, get Brian Eno or Kraftwerk to do the theme (please?). |

i really like hte pursuit cop idea but how about races also...but i dont want the two players to be on the same map bcuz that just brings down the challenge of creative paths...more maps for online play would be awsome....free roam does seem awsome but thats a huge map or just a bunch of maps but still good....ooh and how about a runners hide out where everyone can go and use*insert speech program* to talk or just type...oh and more avatars would be cool...like i would like to run as Merc or Jacknife...or even input character creation for internet play bcuz face it Faith is just to cool in the game to be replace with a frankenstein

Hi everbody,
I just played through the PC version of the game and I kinda liked it but there are some things I would like to see added/changed/improved in a possible sequel. Here are my ideas: - runner creator (design your own runner using various clothes, hairstyles, hats, tatoos and so on, Altair - Mirror's Edge style, anyone? ) - dodge move when first disarm doesn't work (preserves a fluid gameplay and still makes the player feel somewhat skillful even if his original plan (disarming the guard instantly) failed) - multiplayer: 1on1 race over the roofs (who's faster? "I'll be there first" "We'll see about that" , co-op (tactics, who disarms who, who takes which way, who distracts the guards and so on)- missions that are more about running than some conspiracy story (delivering packages & messages, disabling security cameras, maybe taking pictures of people doing evil things so you can blackmail them , why not assassination as well :P)- objects that can be thrown over to create obstacles for possible pursuers - small blood splatters showing when people get shot, wounds on bodies, small blood decals on walls and floor (nothing too gory though) - improved navigationsystem: always show the players destination by showing a marker, when pressing b make important elements glow red and show red footstep decals to point out the paths between them - way more npcs in the levels (window cleaners, employees in offices and so on), they should scream and startle or shout "***?" as you run through and maybe even knock them over if they are in your way! imagine this: you just ran through an office, everybody is like "what the hell just happened? was that a runner?" and you take a last look at your "creation" (featuring paper sheets gliding through the air, people getting back up on their feet, indoor plants lying on the floor etc) as the elevator doors close in front of you. maybe there's some guy who was already in the elevator, you just stand there calmly catching your breath and waiting for the elevator to reach the roof while he is creeped out by your presence pressing hisself into a corner of the elevator) - no more cartoon cutscenes, pls... What do you guys think? Last edited by Rev_Death; 18-01-2009 at 02:27 PM.. |

I wouldn't mind more cutscenes though, but they need to amplify the quality. Make it full-fledged anime with subtle computer-generated rendering. Something like Steamboy, where the animations are smooth and fluid, with a great blend of 3-d. That'd be rad. And if there was multiplayer, the character creation thing would be cool for other people to see. |

Here are some ideas...
What about the complete city to play parkeu, jump from a roof to a building smashing the windows. I like the idea of create the character, maybe we have hide out where change the closes, hear the news on tv for a posible mission, read the mails, send mails. Primary missions, secondary missions, extra missions. Carry bag to point A to point B in the other side of the city. Have free time to run and explode. Visit others runners hideout to get info or more tasks. Complex movements to fight two cops at the same time, like the animation in the loading. |

Something I think would be extremely cool for a sequal, would be the possibility to earn and bring extra gear for each "mission". Nothing big ofc, it would be stuff that could fit in sidepockets on the pants, or be worn directly on the body (ofcourse affecting movement if chosen). I'm thinking of stuff like knuckles, small blinding devices, maybe a small pepperspray with 2-5 charges that would put 1 enemy out of action for a few seconds (unles they have a helmet with visir), light kevlar to take less damage from gunfire in exchange of slightly reduced movement speed. (People who played the old ninja game Tenchu, will have a good idea of whta I mean)
This stuff could be earned through optional side missions, like in Mass Effect where you can visit places that you don't absolutely have to, you could maybe visit common places for criminals to do runner deals. Like underground clubs, casino's, some mobsters hideout. Stuff like that. The optional quests could then be stuff that would really put some challenge at the player, like having to run over a certain distance, and reach an exchange point before a deadline, either be the one to deliver a package, or pick it up and then drop it off at yet another location at a certain time. Minor changes I would like, would be more possible moves when fighting. Give us more than 3 different punches, 1 jump kick, 1 slide kick, and 1 disarm for every enemy. I think it would be awesome if you were able to choose between punching and kicking in all situations. How sweet wouldn't it be to do a 2 punch to roundhouse kick combo, and see Faith turning 360 degrees during the kick? |

This game neek to be more like assassins's creed, Altaïr is way better than Faith in parkour. More freedom, more movements, more jumps.
An idea could be the real time. Use the night to hide in the shadows, take advantage of the low security in some areas. How amazing could be run through roofs with the moon's light?? |

But on singleplayer? HELL NO! When a game has a character creator, the character lacks completely of personality. It's really nice to have characters, story and elements created just like a movie. Also, Faith is sexy! I don't want a character creator for my singleplayer! EVER! |

I think it would be cool to maybe bring in costomizable character as part of the game.. and you could choose what he/she wears and what not
also i think it would be pretty intersting to see if maybe along the way you as a character could earn abilities.. like maybe being able to gain momentum faster to maybe being able maintain momentum in centain areas that would usually drain it |

I think there should be a sort of online co-op mode.
You and your friends are Runners in a mostly free-roaming City. The different game modes are things like Delivery (deliver a package), Escape (escape the pursuing cops), Race (speaks for itself), etc. Imagine it: You stand on a rooftop. You look over and see your buddy standing on a ledge a bit higher. The cops are closing in on you. You use VOICE CHAT to tell him to take the bag on ahead, while you hold them off. You PASS THE BAG to him and he runs off, and you disarm as many cops as you can. You eventually run off and meet up with him, he PASSES the BAG back to you, and you go ahead into the target's home while he guards the exit. After it's delivered, you both need to GET BACK TO BASE without getting killedby the cops (still after you). Whadda ya think? |
