I think this game was one of the more original games out there and personally I loved playing it.

My suggestion for the next one though would be to focus almost entirely on on-line play.
Linear games should by now be extinct.

They could keep the way she moves about exactly the same for my money but instead of having start and end levels they could have a sand box on line world where by you walk around until you find someone you want to play and offer them a game of child hood favourites like tig or get a group of players and play stuck in the mud and so on...the game should be more focused on the running as opposed to the destination.

Enemies with guns are great for story line atmosphere but for me detracted from the aesthetic of the game.

Tig
Stuck in the mud
British bulldogs
Manhunt
Cops and Robbers...

Think of the possibilities?

It would probably be one of the easiest games to pick up yet one of the hardest to master.

Default what i think mirrors edge needs

i have completed mirrors edge on xbox and ps3 over 10 times each on all dificullties so it is safe to say i am pretty much obssesed with the game plus i a trainee traceur i am always trying to find spots to train and practise. what i think mirrors edge needs is just more detail in the story line. make the bags a bigger part maybe as a reward for collecting the bags you can unlock video's that teach you the bacis move's. i would like to see Gabriel 'Jaywalker' Nunez (First place in 2008 Barclaycard World Freerunning Championships and seventh place in 2009, also appeared in music video "It's not my time" by rock band three doors down) put in an appearance in the video's. also i think they should make the game more realistic and not have them landing pads that make jumps that would kill you normally easy to land safely. thirdly i think a a character selection feature should be unlockable, for example once you have completed game with faith you can then choose to play as faith or drake or maybe even kate (it would be awsome if she became a runner)

lastly the best thing mirrors edge could have would be a level editor and multiplayer lobby. oh yh and games such as TAG! your it should be in it that would be amazing as well.

You and your friends are Runners in a mostly free-roaming City. The different game modes are things like Delivery (deliver a package), Escape (escape the pursuing cops), Race (speaks for itself), etc.

Imagine it:

You stand on a rooftop. You look over and see your buddy standing on a ledge a bit higher. The cops are closing in on you. You use VOICE CHAT to tell him to take the bag on ahead, while you hold them off. You PASS THE BAG to him and he runs off, and you disarm as many cops as you can. You eventually run off and meet up with him, he PASSES the BAG back to you, and you go ahead into the target's home while he guards the exit. After it's delivered, you both need to GET BACK TO BASE without getting killedby the cops (still after you).

Whadda ya think?
how about making a virsion of the game exclusive for PC and make it a MMORPG like world of warcraft. it would be a sandbox game and you have to reach different locations using parkour to reach quests or checkpoints. also you should be able to place bags for other runners to find. this would be next to impossible to do on an xbox 360 or a ps3 but a pc would be more than capable of pulling this off. let me know wht u think of the idea

World of Warcraft is a very bad exsample as the two games are very diffrent, so I'm nto sure what you mean.

Not a good idea... sorry... but WoW is not even in comparison to Mirrors Edge and the idea itself was just a stupid one...

I would love to have crowds in Mirrors Edge. Crowds like in Assassins Creed. If your on a mission where time is a factor they could move around to slow you down and if you are being chased by police then they can start running off or w/e panicked crowds do.
I think this is a good idea because in the game you run through a couple malls a subway or two and a bunch of office buildings and its all extremely empty. The creators boasted that you would have a free run of every situation and that you could reach your endpoints in dozens of ways, but there isn't really many dynamic obstacles that can alter my course from what appears to be the quickest path.
This would also help with some little things in the game like not being able to lose police. Even after breaking the line of sight they know exactly where you are. This way if your climbing into a ventilation shaft, you can at least have a bunch of people standing around pointing at you, and that would provide an explanation for that.
Just a thought.

Well yeah of course there wouldn't be crowds of people on the roofs.
I checked out some of the other comments and stuff. I would also love to have a 'free roam' or similar kind of thing where you can run around the city all you want. Maybe pick on some cops and have a chase for fun.

KF360... Not a fan of free roamers myself but the idea of creating your own route seems a good idea too.

Maybe not free roaming then, but at lest choicing your own route. I felt that Mirroirs Edge was a little lenier and having to chose your own route would really help players with diffrent gamplay styles.

I too would love to see some online co-op games, with some other variations of games such as capture the flag (which can basically be a game of tag) where one team is the runners and the other is the cops. Of course the multiplayer race to the finish, and maybe using the combat system a little more and fight against each other.
