Please Include:
More Chase Scenes within the single player option A multiplayer function which include free-roam and co-op playing modes so that friends can help you through the story. Character customization to really personalise faith or whoever the next character will be. More (figure it out) moments where logic must be used to achieve a given goal. Different enemy types e.g. in cars Free-Roam menu where to chose a mission you would have to find your way there. Reply's to watch cool moves over and over again. if these are include me and many other people will defiantly buy your game along with other EA Games. More character functions e.g. slide, roll ( flip, dodge ) Thank you for reading |

A lot of video game characters today have more than one outfit, so I think the same should be true with Faith. I'd like to have her wear a red jacket in a rainy level. I think 4 or 5 outfits would be a good amount. She could wear around 3 in the main story and after you've beaten the game you could unlock the other two. Then you could free roam and where whatever outfit you want. in FP perspective outfit change wouldn't make much of a difference, but I think some 3rd person actions should be implemented (Like in Left 4 Dead). And maybe in the sequel you could see Faith's reflection in windows and mirrors.
Once again I'd like to mention a Celeste side story. If they fix the character model. Cel looked great in the animated cutscenes and in her concept art she was so freakin' hot, but the Celeste in the tutorial was ugly. We need to learn more about Faith. Why did she want to avoid Jacknife, why was she saying Jacknife couldn't have done it? I want to know what other runners think about her. Obviously Celeste is frustrated with her, but they were friends. Kreeg has to be on her side too, and Merc was definately a fan of her. It seems Drake was okay with her, but I think more runners should be introduced. And I want them to hate Faith. I was thinking of plot ideas for the second one and I got going on one I really liked. Someone has got to be in charge of the whole runnner operation, right? So maybe he's unhappy with Faith because of how she attracted the police so much. Then he turns the runners against her and she's not really a runner anymore. She and Kate would be doing there on thing to take down the government while they were being hunted by the runners. Kreeg could also give Faith info on any plans to eliminate her. And maybe a brief run in with Cel that's also in the Celeste side story as well. Oooohhh! I see! That would be so cool! (and difficult for the designers to be sure!)
They should have several different backgrounds from the first and second games, and then a few in the anime style of the scenes and the '2D world of technicolour' that i've seen in the time trial pack. With the backgrounds from the first game, we could have the New Eden Mall, Pirandello Krugar, Generic rooftops (like tutorial) and RP&A Offices (pope's place).

One update I would really like to see is better Flash made cut-scenes. I mean for real I kept feeling like I was watching and e-surance commercial only slightly more kick lalala. But as an addition (not sure if it has been suggested yet) would be while disarming an enemy have the ability to take them hostage for a short time if there are several enemies around you. Like what others have suggested I really like the custom runner idea and the addition of many more npcs to make the place feel a little less dead. I think the crowd idea is a pretty good one, but one way to make up for the issue that the Boston dude said would be to have people congregate in groups like they do when something is going on thats outta the norm (from what I understand something like this is in Assassin's Creed) and use the assimilated people as a get away tool. Bigger maps would be nice, like with more various routes that one could take instead of just the general linear way the game is. By this I mean like jumping from a roof through someone's window into their apartment and use the apt building staircase to get to the roof, etc, etc, etc.

i have to say i was already very satisfied with the gameplay of the first. i don't know if i would even like it if they changed that too much. (same goes for the music. as far as i could tell, a lot of other people loved it as well - don't change this running system...)
the three things i'd like to see improved: first of all the in game graphics - even though they were great in terms of art style, there simply were aspects that didn't make it look like an AAA game (like e.g. the hair on enemies). and if it doesn't look like an AAA game, you can hardly expect it to sell like one. secondly, the quality of the cutscenes would have to be improved quite a bit (once again with the difference between i guess AA and AAA...). i loved it that they had non-realtime cutscenes and i also liked the idea of using 2d animation for them but the character design looked inconsistent and the character animations just didn't seem right sometimes. (and just for the record - i did like the story) and at last there's length/replayability. yes, i played the trial mode for dozens of hours but i think most people still focus just on the story mode. also, getting an achievement for completing the story mode without using weapons is neat but it would be even better if you could unlock stuff for the game. like e.g. a special bonus level if you finish the story mode on hard without using weapons. or a fancy special weapon with unlimited ammo. or at least another costume. or, or, or... actually, they should throw in a dozen of such unlockables. at least in my opinion that's more motivating than achievements. |

I have some things to add here...
* Being able to perform disarms without having to wait in front of an enemy for him to melee you. And when enemies are stunned, you should definitely be able to disarm them as well. * More moves, but NO free running. Free running will ruin the feel and atmosphere of the game which is: getting away fast. Free running won't have a place here. Keep it to parkour but add more basic moves. In example: instead of having a long obstacle and jumping on it, running towards the end and jumping off; have Faith simply be able to perform a Kong Vault over it. Elaborate further on this adding more moves like the Dash Vault (maybe to take out enemies?) and Kash Vault for higher, longer obstacles for example. It would be nice to be able to choose which move you will use as well, but that's optional. Also, the roll in the first game didn't look right. It seemed Faith rolled over her spine (head in roll) instead of a real parkour roll (rolling from shoulder to hip). She should be going more diagonal than straight. |

i think that the objects that you use for vaulting and stuff were all too conveniantly placed (rather evident in the sewers level when jumping from green platform to green platform). maybe you could move some objects into place and set up your run, but this would only work in a calm enviroment, no blues around.
npcs were lacking in the last game, (there really wasnt any use for them in the sewers and the rooftops and ralways, but the indoor parts seemed derylict when you went in. it would bring a whole dimension to the gameplay. new moves : how about a shoulder bash. What you would have to do is run up to whoever you are attaking and leap into their middle section and knock thenm over with your shoulder. this way, once you have thrown him off his feet, you hit the floor still holding him and roll over, continuing your flow. this however could be accused of being too easy, and you could wipe out large sections too quickly and efficiantly, so there must be a limit to it and you should only be able to so this once (think about it, doing that same move over and over on a line of guys would just look silly). blues could be used as sorts of stepping stones. if you wall run, and theres a guy there, what you do is melee him. if you could excecute a jump and coil, you could stamp on him, and leap off onto another platform, knoking the guard out and continuing on a level abovve the ground, unlike with the melee move where you end up on ground level. this of course does not sound realistic, and would have to be made to look so, and this idea is a bit ropey. please comment on my ideas and what you think of them and how i could improve on them. |

No guns! No really I'm serious. You could still disarm but you can't shoot the gun. Why? Because Mirror's Edge is a Parkour game, not a shooter. But for things like the convoy a gun's okay. This also brings me to my next point. More PK moves and the correct looking roll. If Faith really rolled like that she'd have no spine. More back story. The current story line is fine but Dice should explain it more. And we should meet more runners like at the end of Flight. But you might have to assist a runner or team up. Well that's about it.(^_^)

Should be more pedestrians in game it would be more fun. also free roam and create a map (or city).i heard ppl sayin tht it would be better in 3rd person it wouldnt that would completely destroy the feeling of the game (im alright with the idea to choose between 3rd & 1st person though,)Coop is a great idea but would only be good multiplayer and free roam split screen.
apparantly merc didnt die really read the blurb on this cover http://www.vgboxart.com/boxes/360/26...ors_edge_2.png I know im thinking ahead here but i think mirrors edge 3 should either be about kate becoming a runner or faith when she ran away from home doing her first assignments and the plot more on bags, running & deliveries (for the faith idea,). multiplayer ideas: i think just simple things like tag, hidey, real races (up to 5 ppl per race,) and coop. stuff like tht.

brilliant. I love open world game's where you have to 'go' to missions and stuff. Me2 would be the first 'open-world-first-person-platformer', and it'd be spectacular |

what i have noticed, in game, when you come up to a wall and get close to it, you put your hand on the wall. this is fin and all. the thing is, when you put your hand an the edge of a wall, the corner of it, it still is pressed as if it was not so. the hand should wrap around the wall, and maybe thiss could open up the ability to peer around corners.
also, when collecting bags, maybe, rather than just the sound of the back being slung, mayb she should do actually do it, and instead of just collecting the bag, you should deliver it, or if being rushed, hide it. also, maybe if there is a blue below, it would be good to be able to push a box or another object off the edge and flat him out. this could also be used to set up a vault, or other moves access things |

OMG people never listen...
I SAID THAT ![]() Anyway, I looked around PK and there are NO red doors. There are a lot of other doors though that might be it because if you've noticed, doors are only red on one side. So one of those doors might be red on the other side. Edit:Whoops the above paragraph is in the wrong section I'll move it.

Hey, I love mirrors edge, I just bought the pure time trail maps, lovely. Here are a few things that I think ME2 shouldn't be without, a few have been said but I'll say 'em again:
1. Map creator: Just for community made pure maps, should be easy enough to do. Possibly with unlockable shapes and objects. 2. The multiplayer, I would love to be able to see a friend of mine running ahead of me or near me. I think a good mode would be a map (DICE made or otherwise, see above) with random spawning checkpoints, 2 at once. Runner with the most points at the end wins. Also a stunt mode would work nicely I think. 3. Customisable character, although I agree with someone who earlier said not for the one player game, I like faith and want to hear the rest of her story. Of course clothes and gear should be unlockable. 4. Slightly larger maps, multiple routes. I think it would add to the fluidity of the game. 5. CHEATERS!!! I have now given up on trying to get on the scoreboards, the 10ft jump, the pipe jump. They totally don't get what the game is about and are ruining the game for others. I would like a little more support with dealing with these losers. 6. A soft lock on for enemies. Only short range, and only soft, so if you move out of range you lock off. I loved every single bit of the first game except for flying down a route, jumping 30ft, landing, rolling, running, wallrunning towards a bad guy and then missing him to get a gun butt to the back of my brain box. 7. More flow... you can never have enough flow. 8. No free roaming or sandbox, i think it would be a huge mistake. Huge skyscrapers that take ages to get to the top, then having to come all the way down again, long and boring. Just make the courses WIDER, if that makes any sense. 9. As for the single player and the story. I honestly couldn't give a monkeys. Make it longer, more twists, less twists, dragons, aliens, hell stick nazi zombies in it for all I care. All I care about is the running and the occassional bit of foot vs face action. All games should have multiplayer modes and unlockables. Lemme know what you think and I really hope that DICE are taking these onboard. Last edited by Wiggle_N1; 29-06-2009 at 04:29 PM.. |

I agree here with Rev_Death but i also disagree especially the blood and gore on the walls, this game isnt about assasination either! its about finding the truth behind the conspiracies on the game not stalking and killings that takes away from the point of the game! but it would be nice to have your own character and be able to play with more people and be able to do separate jobs eg "you distract him i'll get the bag" that sorta stuff would be nice to have and racing each other would also be very nice as well as being able to go into the streets but with atleast more people, having 3 people walking around is no fun, also as Rev_Death said being able to knock people down would be nice and be able to go around in free roam sandbox style, with more action packed gameplay, and last but no least, a longer game please! i believe free roam could pro long this. That was my suggestion i hope the game comes out soon as well as the other project i heard of (Mirrors Edge, Mirrors Edge 2, Mirrors Edge 3) <----------That would be amazing i would love to have the entire collection! as i have also read some people dont like sandbox, its the best DICE games could do along with EA, free roaming allows the story to better evolve and more enjoyable after all she is a Traceur (why do you call her a runner? <----she does parkour not free running therefore she is a traceur) it adds more realism instead of mission after mission wich takes out the game alot and forces players to manage a glitch to free roam, also dealing with the co op playing it would be nice to have a bud along with you for a run or maybe a couple of your friends could come along and have a nice race around the city, by having a map and be able to select where you want to finish the race either it be in the center of the city or on top a skyscraper i think that would add lot to the multiplayer option, free roam would add to the Parkour in Mirrors Edge, it would be awsome to have these options. Maybe some news on the production of the new mirrors edge would be lovely. Last edited by ShadowTraceur; 29-06-2009 at 07:45 PM.. |

Hi
What about more acrobatics, more variation in combat (capoeira maybe because it fits the gymnastic flows of the game), wider spaces, stealth, crowd interaction, people cleaning windows that affect your path (get in your way when they see the police) and a multiplayer with a vast city (almost sandbox like)!

I'd have the game to have built in time trials and maybe levels like the Pure Time Trial DLC. Also having free roam, sandbox and some new techniques like pipe swing to balancing, and flips, flips being an optional thing, mainly for show, giving it a free run feel aswell as parkour.

Ok this is my first post in here and i think Rev_Dev pretty much nailed some really good points. Here are my thoughts.
( I have ME on Xbox 360 ) - Gameplay / 1st Person : I love how the game plays and runs. It is totally unique and for me it truely is the ultimate evolution of the original prince of persia. Giving the game 3rd person would detach from the whole concept and design and the game would become lost and feel a lot more like Assassins Creed. The main reason i love Mirrors edge so much is because it feels and handles like nothing ive ever played. On a big screen you really get the feel of and adrenaline rush of parkour. This would be totally lost in 3rd person. - Control mechanisms : Right now i hold a 88 in the world on Flight timetrial on the 360 and STILL complain that i find the controls very clunky. At times i can not perform a certain move and will get angry with the simplicity of the move and the fact its just not firing for whatever reason. Most of the time this is probably my timing or perception but i just feel the jumping and execution of wall running / grabs was a little more predictable and slick. I find wall running and climbing the most frustraiting. Again this may be down to me rather than the game, anyone agree / disagree ? Sandbox / Freeroam : No , No and thrice No. You would lose the whole game if this was done. Mirrors Edge is about getting from A-B as fast as possible rather than exploring. You would gain an amalgamation of Assassins Creed and GTA if you made Mirrors Edge Free roam. The time trial / aspect of A-B would be lost in free roam. Multiplayer : This is what will make or break Mirrors Edge for me. Important things to consider here would be. - Character customisation for online play, the gender and look + try to keep it cyber punk theme to stop people creating silly runners eg: The Hulk, Batman etc etc etc etc - Time trial vs a friend, run vs each other and obviously allow sprites to hit each other - Chase mode , I love the idea of cops and robbers put up on the first page and the idea of running against each other. Interaction with other people and a competative feel would be a great addition. This idea has probably got me more excited. As listed ( just adding my support really ) -Capture the Runner -Capture the Bag -Slalom / Flag collection -Shuttle run / Flag collection - Level design and upload to challenge others. Could be easily done and im sure some policy regarding submission and publishing could be sorted (i presume its worked with Little Big Planet ? ) out to stop a deluge of bad / glitched / easy maps could be devised. ( As mentioned earier The level creator is your Sandbox / Freeroam guys ) Time Trials : I am infuriated by the amount of bunny rabbits in the game who seem to have missed the point. If you look at a lot of the top times they jump / coil instead of running. As a player I refuse to do this and sometimes my times do suffer ( although i always love thrashing a bunny ghost with a pure run / better route ) The way to fix this without moderation is to add maybe a stamina bar regarding physical exertion. This would perhaps lose some of the action or "flow" perhaps a mechanic which makes the character either stumble / tire or freeze out the ability to do 3 jumps in a row, however again this could well effect legitimate flow / parkour runs. I know on a few of my runs i legitimatly jump / land over obsticles without hardly touching the ground. A solution to this problem could well result in penalising the actual flow of the game. Maybe the best thing to do would be to penalise speed on a jump rather than adding / keeping a constant. More moves: There are 4 buttons not used on Mirrors Edge which could be used to add more Parkour movements to the game. Remove the slow down funtion and allocate the Runner Vision / Route finder to either the conventional joy pad or the select key ( i recognise the usefullness of this function in story mode or when learning a course ). By adding moves i do not mean "free running " ie: the acrobatics or the stunts. Nice additions ( google them ) could well be: Crane Steps, Kongs, Hand Plants, Precision when tapped on landing, perhaps even a Dive to grab function where you commit 100% to grabbing a ledge or falling head first on a miss :-P Freerunning / Parkour : Atm Mirrors Edge is a Parkour game and should stay the same. As nice as a stunt off or Freerun acrobatic competion sounds nice this kinda thing should be left to your BMX / Skate games. I think moving Mirrors Edge in this direction would lose what we have and make it to complex ! Single Player Story mode : Make it more fluid and the ability to re-cap story modes. When picking the story mode up after time trialing for weeks i actually re-started story mode because id forgotten the whole plot ! Perhaps use the perspective of 2 players so you run a level as Faith and then maybe the story of Celeste so run as her level 3. The future of computer games is the multiplayer option, i now find myself playing exclusively multiplayer over single player. Eg: I play Cod WaW and only played the solo campagin once... that was the day it came out in 4 player co-op mode ! I really feel Mirrors Edge 2 would be hugely popular if it was given multiple multiplayer options. |
