Default Mirror's Edge not 'games for windows' title?

I normally do not use my 360 paddle for pc gaming (actually, don't use it at ALL), but this was one game in which I was thinking of picking up the 360 wireless gaming receiver, and using said paddle. But it has to be a 'games for windows' title to have inherent support? What's the deal with this, anybody using one?

EA don't tend to support games for windows (regular or live).

By being games for windows it means you are providing a certain base level of compatibility and support (i.e achievements). The 360 controller is pretty well supported regardless of GFW tite or not, ubisoft generally don't use GFW branding but still support it.

Hi,

flatfroggerx, you are confusing 'Games for Windows, and Games for Windows Live'

Games for Windows, require the game to go through internal Microsoft testing processes and also to support Windows Vista out-of-box, including the Game Explorer on Windows Vista.

Games for Windows Live requires that the games use that service for online multiplayer gameplay and singleplayer achievements etc.

Just use the mouse and keyboard!

The WHOOOOOLE reason I got this game.

I mean yeah I plugged in the 360 controller right before I booted it up, but quickly unplugged it because it kept explaining the tutorial for the buttons on the pad.

And in about 2 hours of time, I got as far as me and my friend did in 8 hours of the console version. It is just absolutely so much easier and more fluid to control Faith with a nice grounded laser mouse.
