Damn you Mirrors Edge!

Mirrors Edge is a fantastic game. I am a few hours into it and having a great time. I noticed something, however, when I went to watch Stepbrothers with my girlfriend. The words "Game Paused" and the level I am at is burned into my LCD TV. I've had the TV about 6 months and don't recall getting a warranty for it. We went out for groceries for an hour and I left it paused. I am not sure if it is because the contrast between the red and white is so dramatic or what but my TV now looks to be permanently branded by Mirrors Edge. So that sucks.

Great game besides branding my TV though.

Well this is weird: I had my 360 and TV turned off for a couple of hours and now I can't see the burned image anymore. Maybe it is just a really bad after image kind of thing since the colors are so dramatically different? I have no idea.

My TV healed itself!

This is quite rare, but would normally result in you having to send for a new TV.

If it happens again, I'd contact EA or the makers of your TV. At least it healed itself.

Lol, I have a plasma and oh my word it will get burned in if its left on the screen for about 2 seconds. My big burns on the TV take a while to go, about a month.

Maybe you left it running for to long (I mean like you might of not let it cool down)

This sounds more like something that would happen to a plasma, but glad to hear it went away!

LCD's screens are Liquid Crystal ( while it's more common in a plasma screen it will happen with an LCD) most Plasma manufacturers no use a MAABI or a Motion Active Anti Burn In technology. You just need to be careful not to leave a constant image on your screen because LCDs don't have MAABI...Lucky fgor you Liquid Crystal will always cool so any burn in images are temporary.

my old plasma was bad for burning, put halo on pause for a mintue to go pee when I got back all I could see was PAUSE.
