Screen goes black but not froze, PLEASE help!

Ok guys, I've posted on GameFAQs and PS3's official forums but I haven't had much luck.. was hoping you guys could help. My screen periodically just goes black. The game still continues and I (theoretically) can still move and hear audio and stuff and if I stay alive long enough it'll flick back to normal for a little bit until it does it again and so on.

I've tried restarting the system, tried deleting the save data, tried deleting/reinstalling game data (along with deleting save file again) and it still continues to happen. It has a random way of appearing. Do you guys have ANY suggestions at all? Please help! This is driving me insane!

this problem happens to me when i try to start the game (i've tried un-installing and re-installing the game data as well) so if any body can fix this problem that would be awesome bc i rented it today and haven't gotten to play it yet

This is happening when I first try to start the story. When the training starts, all I get is a black screen with audio and the reticule.

Fix this please!

Welcome to the forums you three

The disk may be scratched or dirty, the best thing to do is to go back to the store and get a new copy.
