(I preordered from Play at the end of last week after playing the demo, so I've given it a few days already)

I spoke to someone earlier as well and they weren't much help. Told me to e-mail some Play addy with my order number and they'd get back to me within 48 hours.

I'd personally give up about now.

It seems as though you're not going to get your codes before the release, and even if you do, you will most likely have been better off waiting until it is released.

To save other people who pre-ordered with play.com - that's the email you're supposed to send your order number and stuff to... Though it doesn't seem to be helping - they've not replied to me yet.

There's a rumour that we were supposed to recieve the codes on the 5th, but judging by the lack of people getting codes on the 5th I'd have to say that's not the case :/

I see that the ME site has been updated now to say only pre-orders from Play.com will get the time trial code.

I'm not especially happy about this. When I pre-ordered from Game.co.uk (following a link from the ME site) this caveat wasn't there so I believe I'm entitled to a code.

I'm jumping through hoops with EA customer support at the moment who seem to be having great difficulty understanding the issue / English

If it helps, you could try some Hindi:
"garam cha" - hot tea
"pagal pani" - alcoholic drink (lit. "mad water")
"spicy puppadom" - slang for a beautiful girl/girlfriend

Err thats about all I remember (worked in an indian restaurant for a summer)

I'm thinking the same now.. Sure a few days ago the TimeTrial code would have been nice, but now it's only a week till I get the game anyway... Will cancel the pre-order on monday if I still don't have a code and go with GAME for the T-shirt. lol

Good news everyone! </professor> I just got an email from "Play.com Newsletter" with the unlock code. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but no reason to suspect it won't work. Fingers crossed anyway

Not for me. I rang them up about an hour ago and I got "wait a few hours and keep checking your mail, and ring back if you still don't get it". Seems everyone else got their code between 15:00-15:30 GMT, so I'm presuming if you didn't get it then - you won't get it at all :/

We'll see what the situation is like in an hour or so after I ring them again.

can we post when the date you pre-ordered the game, just this way we know that this may be the first batch that ordered it a week ago. I only done mine tuesday so i may have to wait alot longer.

Just rang up Play.com, completely useless. Apparently, even though a bunch of people - myself included, were told to email codesandpromos@play.com.. We're not supposed to know that email and they've just been ignoring the emails because it came from a customer and didn't come from a Play.com advisor. I was told the section is now out for the weekend and hopefully I should get a response (note: NOT the code) on Monday.
So I'm cancelling my order with them and ordering with GAME for the T-shirt I think.

Also, just noticed on the play.com site it no longer even says about the TimeTrial codes, but instead

I ordered mine on Play.com but cancelled when i didn't receive the code. There's no point paying full price purley for a code that I might not get before release. I'd rather wait until its out and save a couple of quid on amazon or ebay or something.

But think; even if you didn't get the codes/t-shirts/bags, you'd still preorder it, for the same price. So why have a hissy fit if you don't get something that's just a freebie?

But without the freebies, how many people do you think would actually pre-order it as opposed to simply going into the shop on release date? Maybe waiting a week for people to bring them in as trades so you can get it cheaper as Pre-Owned.
Everyone in the world, except people with too much money, wants the most from their money, it's human nature. Pre-ordering with a freebie and not recieving the freebie is simply a scam.
Example in a more real-life circumstance.. you're in the supermarket, and coke are offering BOGOF (Buy one get one free) - so you decide to get some and you take 4 bottles to the checkout. You get to the checkout and pay, then the cashier takes 2 bottles off you, you ask why and they reply "well you paid for 2 as you normally would, the other 2 are freebies - why throw a hissy fit about it?"

I cancelled with PLAY aswell in favour of GAME.

I have a feeling there will be a lot of cancelled orders due to PLAY dropping the ball with this one.
