He was constantly trying to get Ronaldo to run down the wing with the ball, but Assou-Ekotto had him in his back pocket all night

Just takes forever to get your overall up quickly, unless I'm just doing it the slow way :/

use your player in manager mode with a poor low league team that will help and use him in become a pro.

I've got a BAP Season going, currently in the second season, in Newcastle's First Team, and just got made the fan favourite and also I'm being followed up for international reserves.

I'm also using him in MM with Sunderland.
But you say a lower league team in MM will boost my players overall quickly?

Also does difficulty setting come down to it, so on legendary if you beat Arsenal 3-0 with a team like Notts County you'll get more then if you beat Arsenal 3-0 with Notts County on Amateur?

It will boost it quicker because there are worse players playing and you have better chance on getting accom.

There is no more boost at higher diff., it's just harder to play.


Any place in this team for a reserve attacker maybe?

Well, I should really appologise to you all (including Imp) for my outburst last night. I was in a bit of a grumpy mood and Imp took the brunt of it after his ridiculous behavior. However, that does not make what i said any less true, i only appologise the manner i said it, not the content.

I still have mixed feelings about last night. On one hand i was truely frustrated at our inability to win a couple of those games that ended as draws. Especially against that team that went down to 9 men after we were totally dominating them throughout the second half. We lost focus and drive and went onto a "cruise control". If we want to get higher rankings its those sort of games we need to close out and finish off leaving no doubt of the victory.

On the other hand, we got draws where before prehaps we would have lost, so we certainly improving. Some of our passing play was good, we're getting used to how each other move and its starting to show. My one small critisism would be that sometimes we need to release the ball a bit earlier. I'm guilty of this too but last night i tihnk particularly the wingers were holding onto the ball a bit too lnog and loosing posession. Prehaps we can try a few earlier crosses from deeper (as long as there's someone in the box of course!) instead of charging for the byline and getting the ball stolen off the toe.

I don't want to turn into some evil ogre and i really want to keep this fun, but i feel i need to voice these little things. We really have quite a good team ethic being built am I want us to relise our potential.

On the up side, we got some very good goals made possible by some very good assists, we're becoming more lethal in the final third and more economical with the ball but we have a ways to go yet.

If you think i'm being unfair in my critique do let me know.

Atm I'm rather peeved off about VirtualPro in general, I done one accomplishment and started doing another and is says I haven't done them
But online I got one or two accomplishments... lalala is up with that, can you only achieve the accomplishments online nowdays!?

The one I completed was the fake shot inside the box:

*How that doesn't unlock it I don't know!*

And I scored two chips from outside of the box, I go into accomplishment, and then find the "beat the kepper with 5 chipped shots outside the box" and it has 0/5....

You guys still looking for players ? If so what positions ? I told my friend about MYM...and mentioned that the Allstars were pretty full up so he wouldn't be in the same team as me but he said he'd still be more then willing to play for United.

Let me know what positions you need filling and I'll get back to you, and him.

Ideally, we would like a dedicated Full-back.

I'd be reluctant to give up the LM to a new-comer until we discussed internally if anyone wants to alter/shift position in light of slakeys adjustment. I'm debating going LM myself to be honest as we're no longer playing my AMC/CF and we have 2 strikers... need to think on this a bit.
