Good Games tonight

Many thanks to Masam, Infused Dan, AyrshireLass and Makenlalalalaurning up.

We played quite a few games tonight, winning 6, drawing 3 and losing 1.... which in all honesty is fantastic considering we did not have a full team, one of the players did not have a headset, and we had never played on the same team before

Well done to everyone

Next meet up will be at 8pm tommorow night and I am hoping to see a few more of you who have signed up.

Because the team will be playing on a regualr basis and the fact we need more players... I have made the following players Captains.

Makenshi
Mr Doubtful
Infused Dan
Masam
and myself.

We will be hopefully recruiting more players in the next few weeks.... but the players already signed up need to make a commitment and show up at least a few times a week.... that way when we have more players, we can constantly have the team playing throughout the week, which will give everyone enough chances to get games in, and also give other players a rest from having to compete all the time.

Everyone is welcome, as along as you can commit

it was fun, i enjoyed it. my best position, i feel is the CM role, allowing me to support the strikers as well as making runs to the box. also tracking back to help the defence when we need it

yeah i did. i think i got 4 goals in as many games then i started to fatigue a little bit because of all the effort i'm putting in, which is to be expected though!

i will do, i need to get one that's much more comfortable, i hated the official 360 one.

will add you today mate

Meet up at 18:30hrs tonight..... we will be playing throughout the evening so there will be plenty of opportunity to get some games in for everyone.

Good meet up last night... but alot of silly mistakes were made due to individual errors and trying to hog the ball, instead of making a simple pass.... which cost us a few games.

Nobody is impressed if a player only manages to beat a player after ten attempts.... its more impressive to see a player pass and move and make space for them.

Stick to your positions... if you are in the centre midfield, then you should remain there in a holding role and not belt forward all the time... it leaves a massive space to be exploited.

If you play on the wing... you stay on the wing... you don't drift in trying to take a cf spot... there were times yesterday, when I was playing up front and had to go out wide to give some attacking options, all because the players on the flanks had pushed forward to much and had taken a cf spot.;

Also it really important we use headsets.... Killie could you sort one out asap as we all need to be able to communicate with each other

Also I think we need to be honest with each other.... we all cannot be strikers, cmf's etc etc etc.... we need to play to our strengths and therefore nominate positions where we know we can doa job for the team, not for ourselves.

Other than that we played well last night... but lets get to playing simple football before trying out the flair.

Imo I have only seen one player over the last two meeting who has proved consistent and always does a good job.... and that Masam.... plainly because he sticks to his task.

i'm on it mate i felt i wasn't a good lb but i managed to squeeze another 2 goals from midfield/attack which is good. good job i'm a forward thinking midfielder, passes didn't quite work out for me though at times, i over committed from to forward at times thinking we needed extra help and then left gaps. not tonight though!

i was closed down too quick and therefore my reaction times were sometimes slow.

me and chris bullard seemed to understand each other as well but i agree, let's do the simple pass and move stuff well first and then think about flair.

Very true

and you get us some goals which is fantastic for the team.... but just remember every time you run forward, you need to get back as there is a massive space left in the middle when you roam forwards.... and thats goes for anyone who makes a run up the pitch

In any team.... defensive responsibilty comes first from all members of the team... and my stance on tactics... is that if you don't concede, you don't lose

and we lost 3 matches last night because to many people forgot their positions and defensive responsiblities and kept running to far up.... which allowed the other team to walk straight through us

The team's going pretty well but as Matt says we'll have to get to know each others game, only a matter of staying in position and passing well. Imo were in need of a human back four desperately, Dan did a fantastic job as a CB but I often saw there was no one to cover his interceptions simply because the AI is beyond terrible.

In short: Team MYM is desperately after defenders!

Can't play tonight due to work ;( (Working from home though so it's not all bad!)

I should be on tommorrow night for some funfun though \o/

Until we get 4 human defenders, maybe we should have someone going "any" to control the whole defensive line? AI is awful on its own and a mix doesnt seem to work either
