Hi Matt, its Aaron_Regis btw!

Just wondering what you will be doing about the Controller settings? For example the main reason why I play Fifa now is that with most the computer assists turned to semi its a top game. Personally I find no enjoyment in the game with all the assists on default/on. In the other footie sims out there this option is not available so there can be no variations in the settings people are playing on day-to-day.

However, in competition you cannot play against someone with semi-assisted settings if they keep all the assists on because it will be practically impossible to compete. At the end of the day it will not be a level playing field. Yet in my case were i to turn my settings to full assisted i would get absolutely NO enjoyment from the game.

So, will you be setting a standard for your comps or is it anything goes?

Nottingham hold good venues? Any chance of seeing one there, or even maybe sheffield, Derby, chesterfield etc..

Controller options are down to the players at this time... we must cater for all standards of player tbh

Its no different from having different passing options/cursor selection in pes events tbh

Matt, if it were the same thing do you think i would have wasted my time putting together my post?

The point im trying to make is that its not a simple case of 'preference'. And seen as you appear to be trying to setup these new events I thought I'd bring this to your attention seen as it was something that never come up on pes simply because the options weren't available.

Anyway you've answered my question thanks.

Good luck in your new role.

there is 1 train from B'ham new street straight to redditch, once you're there, you are like a 2min walk from the town centre.

The rules are there so that everyone can enjoy the events, whatever their ability... you did not see me moaning in pes events when I was using total manual controls and other players were being assisted by the computer with their auto controls and cheap formations.... yet I still managed to remain as one of the top players over 5 years

Eitherway if you are a top player, then you should be able to beat an average player on Fifa 09, no matter what controller options are.... yes its harder to use.... but once mastered you can do stuff what other players using standard players can't...

You of all people should know that, and having defended sleavy tactics on that other simplistic footy game.... I am very surprized you are asking about level playing fields.... what did you once say..... something like "regardless of the people say", " a player should always have the right to play the game they want to".... its the same principle with this

The rules are there for all to enjoy... not the few.... unlike other events

Yes its in December hence why the thread has been advertised as 14/12/08 and in the actual event name is says the 14/12/08

Its a bug in the site tbh with the date, which we will be working on.

and please use the event htread to discuss issues around that event please... for some reason you keep posting all over the place about stuff, that should be taking place in other areas/threads
