they should have 1 each week in birmingham in retrospect.

to have that many events in colchester makes it unfair for people who cant get there, as the people who are entering will get better scores than the likes of me and others.

ITS STUPID!

Yeah there better be a mix up on the system or something. This is ****. For the likes of chrissyb and people who live round the corner its ok. But for me and other people who i know that live up in birmingham and areas around there. If MYM fancy paying for our travel then its acceptable. But i am 4th on the leaderboards and now im going to have to fork out alot of money just to attend once a month. I have college on fridays, finishing at 3.30 and i would never get down there in time. Sort this out! Its disgusting..

tbh doesn't matter if you come 1st or 32nd

just need top 32, rank is irrelevant at this stage....if you are a half decent player, going to a couple events and getting top 32 should be easy...

Chris if you go 2 all of those events and get into the final, your going to build up more points and eventually be 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Then everybody else will be coming to your events bcos theres alot of points available, meaning that other mym events will lose people bcos the colchester one is on everyweek and more people go.

It will be unfair if the way the sorted the knockouts was by doing 1st Vs 32nd. That way all these Colchester events would be rediculosly stupid. I think someone has ****ed about with it tbh. But if not i have no problems with this IF the knockouts will be RANDOMISED

Knockouts are randomised mate

with all due respects, regardless of sponsored fifa players and events like I series etc..... I come from a competitive playing background that is much more intense than the old fifa events that have gone on over the years... and I learnt one thing playing in a massive offline community..... regardless of how many events you attend etc etc etc..... overall if you are good enough at the final event, it does not matter how many events you attend...... winning the big one is.

Tbh alot of you are way off the mark.... before posting comments you should really understand the principle of ELO.

if the same players are attending these events every week and then play against the same people, then they will not earn much.

Tbh I think its a good thing what Xtreme Gaming are doing... and I don't see why people are moaning.

Up until this year there has never been much of an offline fifa community.... so be thankful that there are events going on.

As Chris hs stated, all you need to do is get into that top 32

mmmmmm didnt bring all my gear back home with me (Ipswich) or I probably would plan to go to the colchester event on the second! Dont fancy not playing for 3 weeks then going straight into a tourney

On another note are there any plans for an event in Leeds/Sheffield/York? Brum and Wigan are my closest at the moment I think (going via train) and they're both a bit of a journey

all a bit new to me so have a really basic question - how do you find a 2 player option on fifa 09 - driving my young son mad that he can't find it!

Has there been any news on getting mini prizes for these MYM tournaments. This way is could attract more people towards these tournaments.

What new venues have you got in mind Matt and are there going to start any time soon.

Quite a few a few venues in the pipeline... can't say to much to be honest

But I hope that we get some new venues up and running about the time when the site update goes through.

As for mini prizes, yep I like the idea and have asked for it to be considered and hopefully one day it will happen.

I think we all need to take this in context, the site is new and there is alot to be changed, the first season was never going to have the finished article, but as seasons go on, then you will find the better the site will get.

All in all MYM is already at a better stage than Pesranking was at the same time..... regional free to enter events and a massive final cash prize.... something that Pesrankings has not managed to achieve other than the one off Play.com event (which was poorly organised) and the HMV store tour (which is just a waste of time).

Just want to say, while you might not be happy with how many events Xtreme Gaming in colchester are hosting, they are hosting them all very well. The first few tornaments didn't go as smoothly as they might have but now they are running really well. The guys at the shop are really friendly but are firm enough to deal with people that might cause trouble and overall there is just a good vibe about the competitions.

Default X-Treme Gaming

Also carring on from the last comment it can also be seen as good for you as it picks out the best from the others where as in other places some people who may not be as good may get in so just stop crying and focus on winning the games where you are because if u came to the colchester one you migh not even win any games because there a some very good gamers, And yes X-Treme Gaming is very well run just like the tournaments and i would just like to say thank you to Arthur And Sam Also Kev And Pete Thank You.

You can say that. But if you look: The top 10? (immense p excluded) appear to only go to Colchester? Surely it says something..and it appears the more you play the higher you get; well how if some have more opportunity. Not all of us live near enough to Colchester. This isnt a complaint .
