The woes of vista

So, Im sporting a dual core 2.5, 9700Gt, and 4g DDR3 ram. Its a new comp running vista home premium. Like many I had issues with the "encountered a problem and shutting down," so I made myself an administrator, and I could actually get to the little mass effect loading banner. But at that point it gets stuck and doesnt actually load anything. Help?

All l know is when playing for the first time it dose a online authorization, but l'm not sure if it dose it at that point the banner or little bit beyond, so check if your anti virurs is not blocking it.

Also l would suggest to get in contract with the support team via at the top page.
