Hello, I have this problem with a game - no sound at all. Despite searching all around the net and tweaking bioengine.ini I couldn't fix this. I have Win XP (32 bit) and normal desktop speakers, so no 5.1 or any thing like that. I have SoundMax HD Audio on my motherboard and it works fine with every other game. I really don't know what is the problem and any help would be welcome. However, I found something that might be of help.
In Mass Effect log I found this line:"Init: Audio Driver: Modem #1 Handset Playback (emulated) (WaveOut 4)" - it seems like completly wrong audio driver, so I tried puting it in WOW as my sound driver and bam- No sound! It seems like the game is detecting audio driver wrong, but this is just my speculation. Any help would be appriciated. |
