Default Mass effect general protection fault and freeze fix for avg virus users

I have tryed alot of the self help fixes on the bioware self help forums and none of them worked.except one.some guy posted that if you uninstall avg free virus protection the game will work.and it did for me.but be warned you are not protected.so do it at your own risk.....I also think that there must be something in the mass effect software that blocks you using certain programes for me it was avg free virus protection.hope this helps someone.

here are my specs amd athlon 64 3400
1 gig of ram
ati radeon 1650 pro.

Yes its true that it could fix the issue, this actually happen when an anti-virus is a free trial - since it not a complete software there are other softwares that it wont support or have a conflict along the way. The best way to avoid this type of situations is not to install any free trial software.

there should also be a settings option for spyware that lets you click to not affect !mass effect\or other programs?
