I have conquest demo for the ps3...and i have 100% signal strength but i cant go online because the server never works...and when it does it doesnt accept my username and password. I made a new account and it wouldnt accept that either. I cant upgrade my account so i dont know whether that is whats preventing it from working. And sometimes it doesnt even ket me type in my UN and PW...just tells me i need to sign in...then it diconnects from the server and i'm back to square one...
Anyone know what to do?
Singleplayer was quite fun...but i want to sample multiplayer before i buy the game.

I'm not quite sure why it is doing that, perhaps the server was disconnected at tht time, but i do reccomend the game, i give it 8.75 out of 10, there is good things on there like instant action which allows you to play a team deathmatch with computer friendlys and enemies, and eventually become the hero for your side, play 2 v 2 in instant action or whatever, and you do missions at Isengard, Helms deep, minas tirith or the mines of moria, i wont tell you the amazing thing about the mines of moria, its just the campaign isn't in order...

Have you linked your PSN id to your EA main account, Noodlespore? Also I can't remember off the top of my head but as the game is rated 16+ maybe that is stopping you somehow. I think you usually get an error message if your age is stopping you being allowed to play online though.

Have you tried dropping EA Support a line? If there is an issue with your account they may be able to help you.

Its true, on your EA computer account says tht your only 13 years old.

My dad or mum set up my account so technically it is not mine. My PSN is set to my dads age i think.... and he is older than 16...surprisingly. But the annoying thing is it wont even let me type in me accont name and password...it simply tells me i need to, thendisconnects. I have tried contacting the support however they asked me for a game code...or serial number or something...whihc i had never recieved seing as its only the demo.

I dont have any.... dont buy the games too often purely because of the price...only have about 5, none of which are EA... the main problem is i can never get to connect to EA nation...even with my 100% signal strength... is the PSN EA nation having an issue or something?

I also had another issue with teh game where on the single player training when you become a scout the orcs stop coming and you cant proceed...so i thought maybe i had a corrupt copy that was possibly also stopping me from using online. SO i downloaded a new one....but the outcome was the same...i still cant connect to the EA nation...

There have been some server problems over the past few days so possibly it is down to that although I did not think that LOTRC was effected.

It is possible that you would need to forward some ports....that is often the case and I don't know off the top of my head which ones they would be but I will try and find out.

thanks....unfortunately my ps3 is new and i do not know how to open ports....on the computer i'm guessing?

i tried to open the ports...while playing SARPBC and i also wired it up but no immediate difference :/

Edited 14th: Ok, now it doesnt seem its the servers....as now i get connecting... showing and then teh message jumps straight to you must enter your ea account information or create a new account to access the EA servers...I havent even been allowed to type in my UN and PW yet... then it disconnects and i'm back to square one....but the message' the server is not available at this time' no longer shows as often.

I'm downloading the skate 2 demo...does that have online...

(only mentioning this as it would be good to see if i could connect to that)

still stuck with the lord of the rings problem though

no mines 160...but i agree i think the problem could be the demo.
