Forum Update Complete - New Features Added!

We have just completed the forum upgrade and delighted to say it went without hitch. Along with some vital bug fixes it has also allowed us to offer the following new features:

Three new skins for Spore, Fight Night and a completely changed EA Sports skin.

Blogging – available before I know, but we have updated the software and made it available for everyone to post blogs now. Please note these blogs will be moderated, so anything posted that is in breach of the forum rules will be removed.

User Galleries – you now have your own gallery! You can upload your photos and show them off to other members. Comments can also be made on photos too.

Customisable User Profiles – User Profiles have been changed massively. Along with new sections in your profile, you can customise the look and feel of it too!

Social Groups – you can now create a “social group” and let other members join. This will then allow for private messaging, photo sharing, etc, within that group. For example, you may want to set up a Sunderland AFC group (go on Smeltz!) and invite fellow Mack’ems into the group.

Thread Tagging – now when posting threads you can assign “tags” to them. This will help in searching for more general subjects.

Thread Prefixes – we have not enabled this yet but plan to. Basically prefixes can be selected and placed in front of the thread title. For example, [Question] for questions, [MM] for Manager Mode threads, etc.

There are various other smaller features added so go and have a little play. If you notice anything that isn’t working then please report it to us so that we can fix it.
