fifa 07. I think it cos the tranfers were more realistic. You could also view who brought the biggest transfers. The through balls were a lot better.

Pretty much It's probably licencing issues, but it would be cool to have all 200+ national teams accosiated with FIFA! Don't forget the awesome indoor mode FIFA '98 offered!

Fifa 95 was amazing, I would spend hours on that game, I got banned from my uncles house as I put Cantona(with a different name, forget what it was) into Liverpools team, I traded him from the French team. He would always score with Cantona for United and sing the Cantona song. I scored with him aganst my uncle so he threw me out and banned me, my parents got a phone call saying I just threw him out. He was raging. They asked oh what did he do, thinking I had done something really bad, he f******g put Cantona into the Liverpool team, he's banned, so obviously they were laughing at him. Great game play and you could score from anywhere, 96 was a disaster as you could only score from the corners of the box.

chances are most people here haven't even played most of the FIFA's therefore so many choose 2008.

My picks are:
FIFA 98 RTWC: Reggae Boyz to France yea!! Indoor stadium sweet
FIFA 2000: Most FUN I've ever had in FIFA to this day. Especially with vintage teams.
2002 FIFA World Cup: Ya I know it was pure arcade and little to no sim, but thats why I loved it.
FIFA 2005: this is the best between 2002 and 09, even tho 06 was pretty similar.

Indoor arenas were nice alright, I remember playing them a lot on FIFA 97 and 98.

Shame they don't do them anymore, but that was back in the days of arcade style FIFA.

Thinking back to 98, the editing options in it where great. I changed the entire SPL into imaginary teams that I'd thought of (well, not strictly thought of by myself...), there was also promotion and relegation if I remember, even though you could only play in the top flight.

My memories of FIFA 05 aren't great, but thinking back, I think I spent more time listening to the soundtrack on it then actually playing it. Guess I got fustrated with how hard it was to score on it and never gave it a real chance.

I have actually never played fifa 08. I have played fifa 06 and 09 only. I used to play fifa 06 on my original x-box, but now that i got x-box 360 and have fifa 09 with wicked awesome grafics, I dont play fifa 06 any more.
