I think for classice 97 and 98 were revolutionary for their time, but that being said 08 offers that same visionary quality that brought old and new supporters to play this franchise.

So for my money 08 did something very interesting...it brought begrudgingly PES fans over to FIFA. So for my money 08 is the best overall with a honorable mention for RTWC98 and FIFA97.

FIFA 05 and 08
FIFA 05 because manager mode was very realistic and entertaining.
08 because the online is great, first FIFA ive properly played since 05 aswell!

funny that 08 is exactly 10 years after and I say fifa 98 is #1 and Fifa 08 is #2.
Both best FIFAs in 10 years but fifa 98 was a revolution in footy gaming.

If you never played fifa 98.. please try it out. The menus look amazing, theyre better than any game I've seen today. Presentation gets A+++ .. I don't know how EA haven't outdone themselves by now.
I hope FIFA 2010 will be like 98 with leagues and qualifying for world cup in one game.. but I see EA is money hungry now and would rather make 2 games instead of one

Too bad.. nothing beats the good old days
