I'll take a crack at it, doesn't seem like there's much to add though. I'm fairley busy at present, but I will try to have a go at it in the next few days.

I'm not really sure I could do anything but add a border and some text or maybe a colour change...

Collaberation is normally easier when both parties are providing only one element of a signature rather an several merged. Like just a background or just the render.

It was tricky, but I added perhaps a tad -too- much lighting. I felt the render wasn't standing out quite enough...

I also added a few very light brushes in the background, and darkened the render by overlaying the original on itself and deleting the parts I didn't want to.

Well....I wasn't sure who the fudge that footballer was. Guessing Thierry Henry, by the file name, but I'm honestly not a fan.

I just added a 2pixel white border with a 1 pixel black border.
