Showcase 10....Childhood (sig and av set)..images for voting on p20

After the first 5 fabulous Showcases we are going to take a break from the norm for a Showcase and try something slightly different

So here is how it is going to work:

This Showcase will be for a desktop wallpaper as opposed to a signature sized image. As wallpapers are often are 800*600, let's go with that or thereabouts

The theme, as chosen by Showcase 5's winner, Jessie, will be 'Futuristic'

Your images should then be PMed to me....NOT posted on the forum or in this thread. This way we can keep the creator a 'secret'.

The entries will be uploaded to an image host and, after the closing date and time is up, they will be posted in a thread on the forum for you to cast your creative and judgmental eyes over and across.

Voting will take place by choosing your top 3 favourites and PMing me with your choices. First gains 3 points, second gets 2 points and third claims 1 point.

The creator of the image with the most points at the specified closing time will be given a special button or image to place in their signature to show how artistically ace they are. If the poll is a draw then both people will be deemed 'winners'.

The next theme will be suggested by the winner of the last round although this will need to be approved by me just incase you all get any wild, wacky and unsavoury ideas.

All clear?

You have until Wednesday 18th June at 8pm to get your entries in

If you don't feel as though you wish to enter this Showcase then of course that is fine

I have seen many great desktop designs in the Show Off Your Latest thread over time though and Futuristic could be open to lots of interesting interpretations and give a great chance for some very stylised pieces

I tried my best to pick a theme that everyone would like and Nicky decided upon a desktop because people might be getting bored of signatures, less people have entered recently.

I have to say that I can take only very little credit for the wallpaper suggestion as it actually came from another member of the community and I thought it would be good to take a break from the constraints of 399*150 for a week.

This is a one-off for now though and in a few weeks after we get back to some signatures there will also be a Showcase that has a different creative feel altogether.
