May I request for a forum banner?
- Dimensions: 698x125px
- Theme: Club Penguin
- Text: Forum Club Penguin
- Slogan: The place for all your needs!
- Colours/Pictures: Anything to do with Club Penguin, the theme i have is a Ice blue.
- Effects: Those cool swirly brushes please
- Think that's it!

Thanks if you can do it!

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to put a stop to the requests. I don't have the time or the patience to do all these. x]

I didn't think I'd get so many so quickly.

I will have a go at things when I'm bored and have CS open, in future.

Sorry about that.

I am however planning on writing a few tutorials. If there is anything you want to know how to do, please post with ideas for some. Also if you want a basic guide to signature making, I'd be happy to do one of those too.

I've been working on a project file for my new Graphic Design unit based around creating a form of advertising (Poster/Webpage/Magazine Cover) for a Jazz Festival.

Some of you know I had a stab at the "painting with light" photography technique...

Something I wrote on another forum, if anyone's interested in how you do it.

Then I either randomly or purposefully moved the light source in order to create lines of light. When the shutter closes, it's recorded all the movement of light that took place. The technique is referred to as "Painting with light". So the end result is random squiggles or the desired shape/text etc. As you can see above, I wrote my name.

I saw it a while ago in a Photography magazine and decided to give it a go as part of my new Graphic Design project for the Photography section.
Here are a couple of pages from my project file. I am going to do a nice background for each one to replace the current blue backgrounds. Something a bit more eye catching.

Some larger examples that I've had a go at editing in Photoshop.

I may have a go at light painting, how dark does the room need to be, Adam? I can adjust ISO and all that on my camera ...

It depends. If a lot of light enters the camera, you'll just get a blur of light as a result. It's best to start off in a completely dark room, so that you get clearer results. Feel free to experiment in different light situations to see what result you get.

Thanks, that explains why when using a giant torch it went white ... but when I took a photo with the street lights it came quite good, with reflected lines from the window.

I put some of my pics up in the "Show Off your Latest" thread if you'd like to see them.

I thought I'd just share this...

I updated my dA journal the other day and uploaded some more stuff recently.

Some of you would have seen most of the Hoosiers stuff before but I was bored this evening and had Photoshop open.

If you're a member, please have a look round and comment and stuff.

[ I say 'stuff' too much. O_o]

Thank you.
