Bringing this back on-topic...

I attempted something using a character from one of my favourite games. Lu Xun from Dynasty Warriors 6.

I'm not incredibly pleased with it. It could probably do with some sort of border and I'm having second thoughts on the text. I might make his Chinese name more prominent. (If you can't see it, look at the cuff of his arm.)

Any comments or improvements you guys come up with are greatly appreciated.

Wow that's brilliant. Nice use of effects and shadows; I admire the colours. And yeah, I can only barely make out the characters in his cuff, and the left block looks almost white.

I like the tweaked version better. The text is in a better place and it looks better.

I like it!

Looks a bit bright on my skin, but i assume you use Lindsay's and therefore it would look right at home!
Second, as the others have said, is better. Text = lovely.

I'm going through a bit of a phase, yes. It's also an orange/warm colours phase.

Yeah i guess, although it doesnt degrade too much. The Maximum size for this forum is 400 x 150, and anything wider gets shrunk to 400 width.
