I've played through The Godfather three times, on PS2, Xbox 360, and PSP, and I'm a big fan of Mob Wars on the PSP (although it was too easy to win in the end). I love the way you have the strategy side of it and that you can play cards to affect the game, and then whenever you make a move on the map you go into the action side of things, and have lots of great shootouts and takeovers like in the main game. EA could easily expand on Mob Wars and make it a home console game in it's own right. All they would need to do is:
Divide the main map up into more territories to make the game longer Have choices of different AI skill levels Have more varied interiors and more different buildings in the action side Have more cards to make the strategy side even more strategic Incorporate the other types of action mission into this game, like the stealth ones where you can't be spotted and you have to strangle the guards, and maybe even driving missions, maybe escorting some of your men to a protected or valuable territory etc. Have lots of different customization game options to give high replayability, such as: Random or fixed starting locations for the different families The number of starting territories each family has, and whether those territories are grouped together or whether they are also randomly decided Whether or not all players choose their starting territories until there are none left as in Risk I'm sure there are lots of other ideas which could be incorporated into a new Mob Wars game which I haven't though of, to make the game even deeper. Personally I can't get enough of taking over businesses and rackets, and shooting enemy family members in businesses and warehouses, and I also really enjoy card-based strategy games, and so I would happily pay full price for a game like this, and I'm sure other people would too. What do people think? Seems to me it would be a crying shame if they didn't make this game. Last edited by ianpwilliams; 10-08-2009 at 03:49 PM.. |
