The Godfather 2 Patch problem

When I click on the patch file it will pop up an error: the patch couldn't be applied because you dont have sufficient access to modify this product

how can I istall it correctly.

Have you tried right clicking the patch and selecting "Run as administrator"? Just to make sure, are you also using the appropriate patch for your version of the game?

hmm, my game version is 1.0.764.0 but the patch is 1.0.789.0

where can I get a patch for my version?

Sorry for the confusion, I meant in terms of the Europe, North American or Asian version of the patch.
