Met Mangano for the first time *help*

It's telling me now to expand and defend my empire. Problem is, before I met this guy, I took over all businesses and bombed all compounds. How do I advance the story?

the manganos will take over some of your businesses, then you go take em back, and try going to a phone, talking to one of the corleones, etc.
