![]() Welcome to The Godfather II forum. After being promoted by Michael Corleone to Don of New York, players expand to new cities, as they build up their families through extorting businesses, monopolizing illegal crime rings and defeating new families in an effort to become the most powerful mob family in America. To help players manage their empire, The Godfather II introduces “The Don’s View” – an innovative strategy meta-game that allows players to oversee the entire world as they grow the family business. Using the Don’s View, players will be able to build, defend and expand their crime rings, while keeping an eye on the movements and plans of the rival families. Players will also learn to master the business of organized crime by building a family of Made Men, hiring crew, handing out orders, and promoting their best men up the ranks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sure, I agree that Mafia (part one, at least) probably will beat this game in certain ways. But that isn't the thing that is going on here. This topic doesn't have the purpose to compare Godfather 2 with Mafia, GTA, or another 'sandbox' kind of game. To my opinion, I think this game might be a good addition to my collection! I hope that this 'don's eye' thing has some detailed options to play with. If that's the case, and the reviews are good, then I will most certainly buy this game. |

I would like to thank EA for getting me properly hyped for this game by posting some new gameplay footage on GameTrailers yesterday. Only to announce today that the game's gonna be delayed. That was a Ninja-esque kick to the region.

my gripe isn't the fact that the game's been delayed, but the reasons why they've done so. the game is (pretty much) finished. the reason why they're not releasing it now is to drag it over to Q1 of their fiscal 09 and blow money on advertising rather than polish.

EA - The Godfather® II on PLAYSTATION®3 - GAME INFO This is going to be one of EA's best games as long as they don't keep putting it back. putting it back all the time will kill the game fast. like lotr: conquest and crytecs crysis ,far cry 2 games that get too delayed demand better quality and game play and no seems to produce look at GTA IV so much hype then kept being delayed and now look not one award so EA do not hype this game and keep dropping it back release asap and just put patches on the gam as u fix bugs as thats all your working on get it out and start making money! and making me a HAPPY customer peace out. The graphics are horrible. They aren't next-gen like. You can also see many clipping mistakes in some trailers. Even on the first screenshot. The head of guy on the left backseat stucks in the car roof.
That's stupid. Don't they use motion capturing?
