Anyone gonna watch the game? or anyone even into Rugby?
I'm hoping the 'Aura-less' (see what I did there) All Blacks will smash the Welsh; they seem to be talking a pretty big game for tonight. And here's hoping Wilkinson scores a few droppy's tonight

Aren't New Zealand meant to be fielding a weakened side for this game?

I love rugby... League. I kinda half follow Union international games, but meh, it's not rugby! Put a League player in a Union team and you have an instant star, even when they're nearing retirement. Put a peak Union player in a League team and you can laugh heartily as they're quickly recognised as the worst player on the field.
Wales versus All Blacks... ... it doesn't even need a punchline.

Watching Union I can't count the times I've heard Jonathan Davies say... "He should have passed it inside! He had a man there the whole time." No Union team shifts the ball like the top League teams. Be they English, Aussie, or Kiwis. ![]() |

![]() I play Union myself, it involves more tactics and thinking, I wouldn't be good at League at all cause I'm not big enough.

It doesn't involve more tactics, it involves more rules. Rules that at a stretch, an official could porbably list... maybe, half of them. The thing about Union for me is most of the points come from penalties! Most of my time spent watching it yields an experience of seeing players standing around for minutes on end looking confused and bewildered while the officials work out which rule was broken at which point. A tackle count after a League game probably kicks the bejesus out of a tackle count from a Union game, as would probably the broken tackle stats for a League game. So I'm not sure where you get bad or no tackling from. League is faster, more entertaining, more team oriented as the ball is all over the pitch moving quickly and pulling everyone in... and it doesn't get held up at any point except if there's an injury or penalty kick spanning all of a minute going on. .. Union has the backing of wealthy old toffs who used to play and are now CEO's at the Beeb. If League got even half of the coverage and press as Union, Union would choke and die out. Its club sides don't pull massive crowds week in week out, and the international crowds are drawn from the ranks of the vaguely interested, like me. Any Union player I've spoken to whose played both, but tried League after Union... has stuck with League. League pros only go Union's way when they're nearing the end of their careers, and when they do they get England caps. lol
