Peace on earth

In fact, peace on earth is possible, but people themselves when they are blinded with their desire, their ignorance and their egoisme they make life difficult on earth.

what we must know firstly is that there's no superior race/people than the others, this is a illusion, whereever you go in earth, you'll find some people that say: "yay, I'm the best!!", in fact, it's not the race, the religion or the color of the skin or the eyes that makes the difference, it's the level of education and the entourage.

If the parents play their role as educators, by explaining to their kids what's right and what's wrong, and by teaching them how to be wise and to respect the others, in this case, the world will be a better place.

In other words: IF EVERYBODY MINDS IN HIS OWN BUSINESS, life upon earth will be better.

Being polite and saying to people that they're gentle is good, but unfortunately people can't be friend with everybody, If people can't understand the differences of each other then they can't live together in peace.

the world can be a very peacefull place, if everybody is modest, polite, honest and sympathic.

Lots of ifs. But the educator parents are filled with their own beliefs and intolerances and biases which get passed to the children in some way. And then you have all the psychological things that go wrong in someone's mind. How do you deal with those people?

I wasn't aware that humans were the only species on the planet that engaged in conflict...

As i said earlier, true peace would require the mass extinction of almost every mammalian species on the planet.

^this. People go on about how evil humans are killing each other, but most pack animals will "war" each other for territory and the resources contained therein. Even solitary ones will fight, but that can't so much be considered war, same principal though. Plus animals are just as murderous as humans, the idea that they only kill for food is stupid. Dolphins will kill porpoises for fun, they will gang-rape females, hell, they even try to rape other species. Cats kill for the game. Those are two examples off the top of my head of animals that will kill simply for fun.

If we are talking simply of human peace, then again it won't happen. People have ideas, and some peoples ideas are not conducive to peace. That is that.

Total global peace isnt possible, purely because there will always be different opinions. And when there are differences of opinion, humans fight eachother. Short of brainwashing every individual to think the same and become some kind of borg collective, I dont see how it could happen as we are now.

Perhaps we will evolve and stop wanting to fight eachother, who knows...but as we are now, peace isnt possible.

Individually we can live peaceful lives...many many people get by without fighting their neighbours or being racist. But that doesnt translate to the larger scale because there is, and always has been, others who dont share the same peaceful natures.

Studies are showing that animals only exhibit "negative" human behavior (rape, murder, masturbation, etc) when out of their natural environments. Read the Human Zoo and check your local library's online databases for animal behavior and crime, it's pretty scary.

Peace isn't an achievable goal while humans remain on earth. For as long as some nations remain richer than other nations in natural resource, financially and think differently to other nations, there will always be those who wish to take what does not belong to them by force.

The first recorded war occured in 2700 B.C, 300 years after the first written documents by humans. I'm in no doubt wars occured before then too, but we as a species never recorded them as we were unable to write. That's nearly 5000 years of recorded war.

Peace is a temporary stage between wars, sadly.
