Hello, i like playing games online and up until now have had paypal when paying for anything but recently had my credit card details stolen and instead of using this method to pay for these games would prefer a different option, i heard of something called paysafecard which is a prepaid card but have never used this and don't know what it is, has anyone used this and can you tell me how i use it?

Masterpiece you seem to be ignorant enough to stereotype about people like this. People can buy whatever they want and if they like a game why shouldn't they want to pay for it? Its like saying why pay for a full game when you could just play the demo forever for free.
Jumping Jack: There are a few pre-pay cards and what they are, are debit cards that you load up with money from your bank account and then you spend it using the card. You have to be 18 for these but I know of one called a MyCashPlus mastercard that a mate of mine uses (just google MyCashPlus mastercard and it's the first option) and it works just fine for him. The advantage of it to you obviously is that even if someone took the details of it from you, they could only spend what was in there (which if you put money in there then instantly spent it on what you wanted would be nothing). Hope i helped

I do pay for some online games if I like them. The people, who created those games, the people who take care of the server and stuff - they all deserve to be paid for it. Moreover, you get some interesting items or options with a paid-account. I don't understand why is The Masterpiece so surprised by the fact that someone want to pay for online-gaming.
to jumping_jack's question: I have never heard about someone having security troubles with PayPal. They offer a serious paying service, I guess. But using your Credit Card is dangerous - there are lots of people who know how to steal your details, beware. MyCashPlus sound unfamiliar, I've never heard about that one. In any case, paysafecard has an advantage to MyCashPlus: you don't have to be 18 to buy one. The main idea of both of them is similar, though. Paying with a paysafecard is easy but there are different ways of it (depending on a game). You need a paysafecard voucher for WoW but for many other games (like 2 Moons or Metin 2) the process is very simple. You just buy a card at the nearest local shop, get the card, which is protected buy a 16-digit pin code and buy the items you want. Absolutely safe. If the pin gets stolen, the damage would be minimal. |

With a credit card
And I've never heard of paysafecard ![]() I had PayPal when I was with eBay, but I've heard too many horror stories of people getting their accounts locked (with their money still in it) and people who did fraudulent chargebacks often got their money back. Granted this has nothing to do with buying stuff with PayPal, and it's probably 0 chance I'd still be on the safe side ![]() Though you probably have more of a chance to get your credit card information stolen

Hi!
Iīm playing online games from time to time and for some of them I bought items - Runes of Magic for example, you can buy diamonds with real currency, which is helpful in the game! Paysafecard is the only prepaidcard tradeable with no time delay! So if you want to pay safe and fast this is the best way to do it! I donīt want to wait for 30 days to use the items i decide to buy and I donīt want to have my credit details stolen either! |

i haven't had any problems with paypal, i just didn't want to use this method anymore because it involves me using my credit or debit card and i am very cautious now of using them anywhere, its not paypal that has made me this way but the person who got hold of my details and started buying things that has made me paranoid, so i got told about these vouchers you can buy from the local shop the paysafecard voucher thingy and was wondering if anyone else had used these??? Pirates!!!!
