EAUK Advent Calendar! - Entry now closed

This year leading up to Christmas we're going to have an EAUK Advent calendar. Every day a new door will open revealing a winner and a prize!

What you need to do is to reply in this thread with your forum username and choice of platforms you wish to be entered for. You have until next Thursday morning (27th Nov) to enter. The platforms are PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360

Once we have all the entries we will randomly draw the winners and place them on the calendar with the name of the game they've won. Each day a new winner will be announced.

Rules:
You must be 13 or over (easy one as you need to be 13+ to be on the forums )
You must be a UK or Ireland Resident
You can only enter once per platform and can only have one entry per household

EA Advent Calendar Forum Competition Terms and Conditions


1. General

The opening time and date of the prize draw is Thursday 20th November 2008 at 09:00 GMT, and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is Thursday 27th November 2008 at 09:00 GMT. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.



2. Restrictions

This prize draw is open to UK residents aged thirteen (13) and over only. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of “Electronic Arts” (“EA”) (“Promoter”), their agents and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.



3. Rules to participate

Participants will be automatically entered in the draw upon signing up and posting their username and choice of platform for the prize to be issued on.


4. Prize(s)

Twenty Five (25) winners will be selected. One (1) winner per day, from Monday 1st December 2008 until Thursday 25th December 2008. Winners are drawn at random from all valid entries received by EA.

The winners will each receive one (1) prize on the choice of their platform.

(There may be more than one of each title available to make the total 25 games)

Odds of winning the prize depend upon the number of eligible entries in the prize draw.

There are no cash alternatives to these prizes. They are as stated and are non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of EA, EA is unable to provide the stated prizes, EA reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier.

The prize winner(s) will be notified by Saturday 31st January 2009 at the latest via a forum thread on http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk



5. Results

If the winner of the prize cannot be traced within 30 days after reasonable efforts have been made by EA, EA will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.

If the winner of the prize does not claim the prize within 60 days the prize will forfeit.

A full list of who won will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of winners. This list can be obtained by writing to Advent Calendar Forum Competition, CRM Team, Electronic Arts, Onslow House, Onslow Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4TN

If proof of age is requested, the prize shall not be dispatched unless proof of age is received and if satisfactory proof of age is not received, the Promoter reserves the rights to choose another winner.


6. General Conditions

Any entry, which does not comply with the rules may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of EA. EA is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.

Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of EA shall be final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into.


7. Data protection

In order to participate in the campaign participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.

By entering this prize draw players agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.

The Promoter of this prize draw is Electronic Arts Ltd., Onslow House, Onslow Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4TN

This prize draw is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

but I take it that the games are all sorted into their platforms, and you draw randomly from said platform, right?

I had this problem when I got to choose games for that baker vs omni thing once...I didn't want any of them, so I ended up getting one that my boyfriend liked and am giving him that. x]

Okay say for example we have 5 different PC games and 10 people wanting PC games. Firstly we'd randomly select 5 people from the list of 10. Then we'd randomly assign what game they'll be receiving.
