I don't think they occur often enough to warrant a whole forum really.

The same goes for the Celebration Forum idea. Birthday threads don't occur that often. Also there would be a forum where every post is either a "Happy Birthday!" or a "Well done!". Which is all very well, but it's kinda pointless in the long run.

Forum Games.

No-one said you couldn't link to games on the net and then compare scores.

I've seen celebration forums work well. If there is a whole seperate forum, people would be more willing to post.

No ideas of your own, Adam, while you're casting off all mine?

I agree with Adam on the celebrations and challenges forums - the main page is filled with enough sub-forums already without adding more that, really, won't be used that often. The birthday threads really aren't that common, and there's no reason why they shouldn't be in OT.

I give up

I think I've contributed enough ideas to this forum already, to be quite honest. The improvements thread, the idea for the FAQ thread, etc.

Maybe a feedback and suggestions section should be made instead of a thread.

No, i think its easier for the Devs/whoever reads it to get useful info from a single thread.

I agree.

It's annoying having to resize an icon to use it on here - doing so often means you lose some of the quality, and it doesn't look as good.

A lot of people are suggesting new things - they all want more garbage bolting on to an already bloated forum. To improve this place, many things should be removed.

I didn't "cast them off". I just didn't agree.

I like the General Discussion just the way it is. A large variety of threads and topics to keep the experience frelalalalahink that if it were sectioned off into sub-forums, lets say "Chat, Film&TV, Celebrations, Food & Drink etc.", we'd just end up with a handful of fairly inactive forums.

I really only think that it would be necessary if this section of the forum was much busier than it is.

I think 'casting off' is a fair term for this. If someone doesn't want something, they cast it off. You don't want a celebrations forum, so you cast it off. No need to read into it
