Default Need help lol

For some reason, the Ethernet port on my laptop isn't working. Checked on device manager and the only thing under "Network Adapters" is the D-Link wireless dongle I'm using.

Are the Ethernet drivers not installed or something? If not, where's the best place to find them, because I been googling and not finding anything worthwhile...

On Device Manager, have you tried looking under 'Ports'? Then right clicking and trying to update the drivers?

All I got in Ports is Communication Ports and Printer Ports, both are up to date.

Can we get the make of your laptop?

If its not under network adapters it just means the drivers aren't installed.

It's an IBM Thinkpad T21 (yes it's old, got it cheap because my other one died on me lol)

Googled for the drivers, but meh, I don't know, some of the results where just completely irrelivent.

Might be switched off in the BIOS. Try checking your bios when the laptop loads and make sure it's enabled.

When starting your computer up hit F2 or whatever key it is for the setup.

Not sure about your BIOS itself though.

Just downloaded and installed an update for my BIOS.

Then, when looking through the BIOS, everything is enabled, but under MAC Address it says "Not Applicable"

That mean there isn't a LAN card installed?
