I love London, don't know why people get uppity about shootings and stabbings as as a tourist it's highly unlikely you'll run into trouble as you won't be visiting the estates where the trouble mainly lies, except for pick pockets and muggings, which is true in any city in the world.
Then again people say I take too many risks as I often go round London by myself. I've come to far more harm in Blackburn than any of my trips to London. I'm off to London again for my 21st in a few months, it is after all where I was born, I'm rather fond of the place, Camden and Hamstead especially.

This is a competition I'd be happy to lose.

I may be going to London on Wednesday, should be going on the London Eye (for the third time..).

I love London. Camden, Theatreland, Covent Garden, they're like second homes to me. I love the Tate Modern too, great free entertainment!

I love Covent Garden. I could happily spend the day there. Nice shops, atmosphere, entertainment.

I've been on the London Eye twice. It was foggy the first time so I had an excuse to go on it again. I quite enjoy the exhibitions in the smaller galleries as well as the Tate Modern. I saw one called "Banksy vs Warhol" at this little place which I can't remember the name of... I think it was The Hospital Gallery? Nicky will know, she was there too.

We should all get together again actually, Emma. Would be fun.

Sounds like a plan to me

I spent my summer hanging out in Covent Garden with friends when I was 16; the choir i was in was performing at New London Theatre several nights a week so we got time off around Covent Garden. It was honestly one of my best summers ever. Plus it was 'back in the day' when summer actually meant summer and we had sunshine..

London can be rough but it's a beautiful city too; I'm going to miss having it down the road when my family moves away next year.

Moss Side is a rough hole indeed, but all cities have them. Here in Leeds, we have Gipton ( where people steal socks off washing lines) Beeston, Chapeltown (where you see more Ferraris than white people, almost) and Harehills. Infact there are more, there are loads of rough parts of Leeds but luckily they are all close to each other, and I live in an area of nice parts, with the exception of one very rough estate.

everywhere nowadays is dangerous, just a case of the more people in a space the higher incidents, just a general increased ratio. i personally dont find london dangerous but then again i have grown up here so i know where not to go and i also know most of the people around my area as i went to school with them or have lived by them for 20 odd years now
