Default Mark Cavendish

Mark Cavendish has become the 9th cyclist from the UK to win a stage of the Tour de France! He won in a big pack sprint finish. He also is the 1st cyclist to win a stage from the Isle of Man!

I am also very happy because the leader of the race and I share the same first name.

i wonder how much doping he has in his blood...

nah... good win for the young guy, they all do doping anyway - so in a way, the best wins... you gotta be seriously naive, or just not know cycling well enough to think otherwise..

Michael Rasmussen is the true winner of TDF 07

He was a grumpy **** when things didn't go his way, though. Big respect to that Luis Sanchez guy on whatever stage it was, he did well and I didn't realise his brother had died in a bike accident

People have tried that, when they are being given bandages they hold on for a bit longer and then get time penalties

The tour ends July 27th. He can finish the Tour as long as he isn't eliminated in the mountains!

With Michael Rasmussen out, he'll have it easier finishing within the 20% time limit, as long as he's on the "bus"

because the Olympics are more important to him, GB has the best cycling squad in the world and will proberbly take 90% of the gold again like they did in the world championships

He doesn't, they will let him finish it. Besides, they can't exactly stop him.

Was it last year or the year before when they changed the winner about 5 times, before finally deciding who won. It was all to do with whether the riders had taken drugs...

Rasmussen was fired from his team near the end of the 2007 Tour de France and has been without a team ever since. He has had a problem being unavaliable for previous doping tests. Like once he said he was in vacation in Mexico when he really was training for a future race in Italy. His ban ends on July 25, 2009 ensuring he misses the next Tour de France.

No, they didn't chage the leader 5 times but about a year later they agreed that Landis (the winner) had used drugs so they awarded it officially to Pereiro who was second. It just took them over a year to deo it

Strange this one Russian guy in the Tour race withdrew from the race and the reasoning says that it was a planned withdrawal. I guess he is getting ready for the Olympics or something?

Some people know they won't manage the mountains so they just come to work for the team or win stages then pull out 'cause it would be pointless for them to waste energy and then have to pull out from fatigue.

But he may be thinking of the Olympics, yeah.
