Default What are community representatives?

I'll ask a question ~ what are community representatives? Do they actually do anything or are they just given a different rank to everyone else?

I'd go for the latter if you're talking about what I think you're talking about.

They are people with some responsibility for the site but with no hands on powers.

i think they just get paid to come on the forums pretty much, and report back on what the community is thinking and wanting?

The Community Reps for this forum are part time EA employees who can speak for EA and have various internal contacts for finding out information when it's available. They have admin powers and responsibilities here in the forums and, as dbuggy rightly pointed out, regularly send back reports on the latest goings on and topics among the community members.

So do you moderators some under the title of community representives? I had never thought of you all in that way before.

I was thinking of the way I have seen the title used elsewhere.

No we mods are volunteers still, just with a few more abilities than we had with the old forums.

That's quite possibly true.
