Default ps3 cheaper will you be buying?

yes i know it wont include backwards compatibility and doesnt have such a big hard drive as the main one but it is about 115 pounds cheaper now (at £299) so isnt it worth buying for the potential it has i for one am now considering buying it and i have a ps2 to play ps1 and ps2 games so i dont need the backwards compatibility

This is factually incorrect don't mean to be mean but the 60GB PS3 will/already has a price drop down to £349 so it is only £50 difference.

Default yep

same here i would rather spend the extra £50 than have no PS2 backwards compatibility and no memory card slot but this canbe sorted out but is gonna cost £20-£30 so rather have 60GB.

Well I'm going to go for it.

I will use my PS2 games + console as part of the trade, so I won't need the backwards capability. I also wont need such a big hard drive as I will only be playing games, not downloading stuff.

Plus If I need to use a memory card, yo can buy a memory card holder for £12.99.

I'm so pleased Sony announced his, as I was about to get a 360 premium.

What you should do is get the 60gb and you get 2 free games (correct me if I'm wrong), and you can trade in those games to pay for the £50 difference.

To much hassle.

Anyway, I've heard that the the 40GB is actually going to be an improvement on the 40GB as they have worked on any over heating and stuff like that.

No not that they have, basically Sony have just touched it up a bit and ironed out any small problems.

This is the quote I got from another website:
Quote:
They (Sony) have removed some air vents (two USB ports as well, but that's by the by), which would suggest that they have reduced the size of the main components inside. They generate less heat and require less cooling and power.
