You should learn how to spell experience.

Who didn't see that one coming?

I'd find my own place, just so they don't throw you in some remote place or something that you really don't like.

We got to choose our ones at our school, and we weren't allowed to get paid or pick one with a relative...

I chose a primary school, and I loved it.

Though, if you go for a high street shop you might get job offers - I know one girl who did hers at Costa and works there now.

Im going through Trident at the moment. I know they are meant to be rubbish but to be honest, what I want to do doesnt have much to offfer around here. So I might as well go with something they offer me.

And I dont think you get paid for 95% of WE on my form it said that you wont get paid. I suppose it depends on what you are doing and whether your employee is willing (which many arent)

But if you are going for your own choice than make sure that it is you who phones up or writes to them, my mums boss hates it when people get their parents to ring up. They often wont take people if their parents do it for them.

I was at a Montesorri School for mine.

It was okay, although I had a fear of children

I definitely didn't get paid for it.

From my experience, arranging your own if you can, its probably the best way you can do it. That way you get to work where you want and you can make sure it will be the sort of working environment you want to experience.

I remember that when people I know who went with Trident (Don't know who organises yours), ended up in some of the crappiest positions ever, most of which in neighbouring schools. I mean, despite where you are, the actual working experience is more important, all of it is still "work experience", but it is nice when you're in control of where you end up.

Hope it goes well for you come what may. ^^"

The thing is with a primary school, it's like marmite, you'll probably love it or hate it. My one had a fair few special needs kids, and it was tiring, but worth it. And I still smile about it 2 years on (we got a hulahoop stuck in a tree, que me jumping up and down with a broom for at least 5 minutes)

But if you don't like kids, to be brutally honest, you probably won't like it at all.

Most of my friends went with the high street shops. Apparently they got bored out of their brains, because the shops already had all the staff they needed, and they had nothing much to do.

I went through Trident with my school too, and they do have a big selection, try and find something that's unusual, if you aren't interested in the typical primary school/shop/clerical stuff. My friend helped out at a graphic designer place, and she loved it, simply because it was different, and she learnt more about the things that she's interested in.

edit: I'm hearing bad things about Trident... mine was OK, though I suppose it does depend on the area. Though my school got in there first so we probably pinched all the good jobs before the other schools thought to organise it.
