Default "Official" F1 thread

as smart suggested, instead of ruining his NHL thread, discuss F1 here

I don't want to stir this thread or offend anyone but personally I think F1 is the most boring sport in the world and I normally nod off after half a lap.

Go Sutil! They should really change the colour of the Spyker though. Ginger coloured is never a good thing.

I tend to avoid threads whose subject I have no interest in. Otherwise, I'd be posting all day on numerous message boards

It usually is, but we actually have someone good at it for the first time since Damon Hill.

They're all "good at it". Nobody in Formula One is a bad driver.

... Webber might disagree with me, however.

aye poor Vettel

i like how our UK commentator was claiming he was absolutely crying his eyes out back in the paddock... even though he had has back to the camera and his helmet still on

yesterdays race was far from boring!

I love F1 - and A1! My alarm was set for 4.30am yesterday morning for the F1, and i didn't go to bed until late last night watching the A1 which i'd recorded during the day while i was out.

F1's hardly gonna end forever after this season, we'll just have to keep it alive

Crazy race...Just watched Highlights on ITV 4.

Go Kimi Go!

Lot's of people who go to my school support Hamilton... Some of them don't know who Micheal Schumacher is

Ah Well, Good Luck to Alonso, Kimi, and Hamilton! (Though I DO want Kimi to win, hehe)

He probably will be crying his eyes out once Webber gets a hold of him though

I spent many years hating Michael Schumacher, all thanks to my father. He taught me some great lessons.

Good to know Hamilton won't be penilised for Vettel's mistake.

Looking at the footage, it's clear Hamilton had no choice but to slow down and move to the right in order to avoid hitting or overtaking the safety car which had slowed to a crawl.

Vettel claimed he was looking at the car on the right thinking Hamilton was retiring. If that's the case, a quick glance would have been enough to realise. It's more than likely he was looking at the rear wing of Webber and nowhere else, and so didn't see the slowing cars in front of him 'till it was too late to do anything. He just made a mess of things, lost his team millions in revenue from television rights and is trying to blame someone else.

I think whoever was driving the safety car should answer a few questions, though.

good to hear

i'm looking forward to this weekends race even if it does mean early mornings! - i very nearly blew the budget this morning and ordered sultana tv cos they were showing practice... but decided as i've been telling hubby no he can't have it till after christmas for the last 6 months it would be a bit hypocritical of me!

*hugs*
