Thanks, I'm glad I can finally access this side using my normal e-mail address, rather than having to use "flagenno".

Looks like we're no longer just the "The Sims 2 UK" group, we've been added to the main forums, ekk.

Anyone feel like they've had no say in anything? I do, I do!

"Don't merge us."
"Well, the merge will happen, but each community will get it's own forum."

... well, that isn't true. We've all been thrown into a pit together, and I don't like it.

Finding the forums I want is near impossible because everything's been tucked away in the deepest crevices imaginable, so usability has taken a huge hit.

Archived posts = useless.

Also, what's with the semi-transparent backgrounds on the forums and posts? Surely a company like EA knows the legal issues surrounding accessibility on the web? No ... no they don't. Partially sighted users are going to have a hell of a time reading some of the text around here.

Ah, I'm saying it, currently, this sucks. It need to be improved or scrapped. The team responsible for it don't appear to have been up to the job, at all. dtr could have done better.

That last comment was a huge exaggeration, I know.

All the "it needs to happen for the community to grow" nonsense was ... nonsense. This didn't need to happen at all. If it had happened well, I wouldn't have a problem. But it hasn't and I do.

Well said Aaron.

I'm moving to Bitbob. *packs up bags*

Oh, food is ready. I might be more welcoming after I've eaten. Unlikely.

I completely agree nyaren. Is it saving EA cost, by having all the forums "under one roof"? I think this'll detur the older members of The Sims 2 UK forums to come back. I think EA have done a hidious job merging us all as one big group and, will not make them want to come back.

@nyaren: I agree with you.

Is it just me, or is this also a hell of a lot slower than when the chat thread on the old board was nearing a million posts?

This is why we love Aaron so.

Shame really. Slowness and unfriendly layout makes people turn away and look for places new to be.
