Default Fight Night Round 4 Feedback

With Fight Night Round 4 having been released today it would be great to hear your feedback on the game, be it about game play, game modes or the game in general. If you would prefer to create a separate thread for a particular feature to provide feedback that is fine but we do ask that everything is kept constructive. So pull yourself away from the game for a short period of time (please!) and let us know what you think!

hey, played today after purchasing

i enjoy it, but i find that the computer is way too quick countering punches, maybe the haymakers which is fair but on higher difficulty its almost constant

im finding online play amazing, no lag or anything

but all im coming up against is wild wingers throwing 50 punches a second

i dont think the stamina bar depletes quick enough really to stop people just constantly throwing with no skill

That is what made me think that people where using turbo pads.

Feedback

I have noticed from time to time the audio and music screw up when in a fight and have encountered one crash probably due to me over playing it

Online virtually lag free however I find that the achievements for online to be way to unrealistic aka winning the belt on said weight classes against everyone online.

CPU seems to be pretty good however as already pointed out they counter punch way to quick and very often.

I am hoping for DLC which there looks like there will be with the fight night store, One would like to think that we will get additional boxers.

All in all though I like this one much more than the previous titles due to it having more depth and the lack of button bashing.

8/10 for me

right,my suspicions are confirmed, basically if u play online prepare from just complete spammers

how the hell can u throw 200 odd punches round in and round out? its bull, i just got kod by a complete punch spammer who for some reason could land ko blows after throwing an impossible number of punches, its insane!

ea listen, u need to make throwing 100 punches more taxing and make haymakers less effective, u just get people doing haymakers all the time or spammers so far

pretty stupid really considering the potential of the game

i played on online ranked match last night, and i was getting beat pretty much all the way thru the fight, after 3 knockdowns i was KO'd,
but...

at the end of the fight it came up saying i won LOL and it gave me the comeback achievement and added +1 win to stats, must be a glitch here somewhere,

it even showed on the end of fight stats that i had 0 knockdowns yet i win by KO

im actually glad to be banned from online by the sounds of the things im doing Legacy Mode with my fighter Andrew Berto as my proper Surname wasnt in there and Andrew Berto named after Andre Berto, so far im doing extremely well with a record of 7(4)-0-0 three decisions and all three were one sided decisions and i knocked one down in the 9th but did not have any time to finish him off.

i have waited for this game for three years and it requires skill and training and the fights are hard i really couldnt have asked for anything more tbh.

Im delighted with the game, its never going to be perfect but it is close, my only gripe is the knockout animation when they fall back on the rope, happens way too much. And punch spammers online are easy to beat, use the weave then BANG flash ko do that twice and its over

his haracter was much quicker and he diddnt seem to tire, he just came inside and owned me by spamming high and low

lol "spamming high and low" is not spamming its throing combos, and if you block his body shots and slip head shot he will tire very quickly, make sure if your opponent is faster you work a lot to his body, if he swing alot and getting hit in the body a lot then is stamina will go down so much and he will be inneffective

i know boxing mate, the amount of punches he was throwing and that i nwas blocking would tire him out in about 10 seconds

i dont mind losing to better players but u can spam

i had a great foight earlier, this dude was good playing the jab and move game, but i was always winning the rounds slightly with more combos and punches,i was 4-2 up or so on rounds and his play was starting to knacker my dude, so i just went all out, moving with the block held and getting inside

made him quit which was nice

I would much like for EA to give us back the option to use the face buttons for punches. I like to be in control of my punches. The stick isn't accurate enough. Please bring it back. At least for offline modes.
A download perhaps?

Ah...c'mon whose idea was it to put the illegal blow button where it is? If R1's to block, naturally gonna have one finger over that button and a thumb on the right stick but If I slip or barely touch the circle button-the guy headbutts-why!!?

Probably just me not playing the game the right way as don't see many having this problem but annoying non-the-less.

my god this game is awful online now everyones spamming

utter utter cack, especially below heavy weight

ive lost count the amount of times im smashing someone only for them to throw one haymaker and daze me then knock me down

have the developers ever boxed or watched a boxing match?

this game is yet another example of ea pandering to the masses, mucb like fifa and the awful nba live games

sort it out with a patch or lose gamers who actually know a thing or two about boxing

reduce haymakers, increase the power of counters, make stamina deplete quicker and there u go, solved

Well tbh they made the game to be able to practise different styles. Sadly, people use it to throw 300 punches a minute

game seems good so far but id like the ability to save screenshots and how you can do a constant weave is pretty annoying as it gives numerous counters for little effort

Default Not so good

I have been a fan of every game in this series. Reason one has always been the gameplay, especially in FNR3. I have found this latest addition below average at best. The blocking system is terrible and is equal to DE-evolution of FN's playability. The haymaker button makes adding one to combinations way too difficult. What may I ask was wrong with the old training systems? These are just tedious and to be forced use it to level up properly is a waste of time. Not nearly the custom features as its prior. Over all a very big disappointment. Tyson vs Ali is cool, and so is pacman vs hatton (trying to knock him out as quickly as manny did has proven difficult) I would not advise anyone out there reading this to purchase this one. Not nearly as good as it's big brother.

You only need to look at video comparisons between FN3 and FN4 to see how much of an improvemnt 4 is. Much more responsive and fluid. FN3 now looks rigid and unplayable with hindsight.

Without going in to essay mode, all I will say about FN4 is that it is a stunning game and I am enjoying every second of it.

things to improve

better commentry
make stamina have a bigger effect so doesnt recover so quick
