Default Welcome

Welcome to the community updates forum. This is where the FIFA community team can let you in on what they're up to.

We're producing shed loads of stuff these days - and it'll only get bigger as the weeks and months whittle down to the FIFA 10 launch. That's articles, blogs, videos, the weekly podcasts, competitions and much more.

We intend to run one very cool competition right here in this forum very soon, in fact. So keep your eyes peeled.

This is also the place for you to get in touch about all this stuff. Want to see anything in particular? Got any suggestions for videos, or for the podcasts?

This is where you can do it!

I'm looking forward to this, and are we actually allowed to post here or not? Since I see the Reply button guess we are!

Of course! Really interested in your feedback and suggestions.

Unless, of course, it goes wildly off topic... let's see...

i have a suggestion! GET RID OF ADIDAS LIVE! pile of bias tosh IMO! berba went upto 91 last week just coz he bumbled in a 2 yard goal! i guess you guys didnt see the weak shot straight at the keeper before that did you! lol its rubbish! player goes up 5-6% just for scoring when they've played appallingly for months!

and hertha berlin are now 3rd but was second in bundas liga and ur ratings of their players are just disgracefull! think they deserve more credit than what u give them!

anyway more suggestions for fifa 10!

As i think all people on the forum agree's on the manager mode NEEDS a massive rebuild! with dynamic weather and better simulation of intense atmospheres with promotion and relegation battles! each game feels the same to me!

injuries need to be more realistic and a proper training facility for set pieces and formations! i.e. who you want up for corners etc!

also player development could be worked on in this training facility, so instead of giving points after a match you can work on individual player skills like passing, shooting, dribbling and FK taking etc so say Anderson has a poor passing game during the match then during the mid week training you can work on that players passing ability with drills like the club tuner in tiger woods! you're given scenarios and if he performs well in those scenarios his passing ability is greatly increased or if he doesn't perform well hes only given a small increase! and then the consistency of the players performance through the season is accumulated to increase that players rating for next season! for example scholes is 79 for the first season but plays well for 80% of the season then next season he develops to a 82-83! but then that season he's out injured for half the season so the next season he drops back a few ratings!?

erm....there's LOTS more i can think of like keeper AI and player responses that need improving plus the player fluidity on the ball needs improving! players like ronaldo arent as responsive in the game as i feel they could or should be! but i think ive said enough right now so il leave this for people to ***** about

Great thoughts stevexdelonge. However, this thread - and indeed forum - is intended for feedback on community activity and content, such as podcasts, videos, articles etc - both from EA and elsewhere. I'd suggest keeping the FIFA 10 suggestions to other areas where they're more likely to be seen.

@koopIfooty. Firstly, your sig animation is awesome. Secondly, we'll be looking to do that all over the place of course, and while not discussing that so much here (the FIFA producers are to be found elsewhere on the forum), we'll be linking to stuff we produce here.

Default Momentum - please comment

MOMENTUM
If a team gets 2 goals they get better and better, while the other team completely falls apart. It is difficult to make a simple pass and players have problem with most of what they do. Obviously stats are going down on the loosing team such as sprintspeed etc..

I feel there should be less impact of the momentum or what you call it.
Why? This is why;

-even though a team gets 3-goals down doesnt mean that players f.ex; Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Terry, Kaka or whoever it is looses their ability to pass the ball, shoot or run. I can agree that if a individual player, for instance joe cole (wingplayer) gets a bad start, it could affect his game - but not the whole team. And if the same player continues to lose the ball
when dribling, passing etc.. that he actually just dont have his day.. then you substitute him. But not the whole team?

-We must not forget that this is something that are happening in our heads too, without programming it in the game.. If youre opponent are playing well and you dont even get the ball you could easily "loose" your gameplay. Some days you are better, some days you are less creative. But you can always try to change your style and break down the other team -but its not easy when none of you premier league players suddenly dont know how to pass a ball, or when normally fast patrice evra suddenly runs slower than Windass on Hull??

Please; Less impact of the momentum of the team. Maybe some impact on individual players based on how they develope during the game, but not too much. Every player should have the possibilty to fight hard to get back on track..

SIDE SELECT
Side select should be open in every mode so that you can play the game the way you want. In earlier FIFA versions it was possible to play the league with 2 player-teams. And then your friend could play your opposition and vice versa through the season.

Keep up the good work! looking forward to another superb game by EA-crew!

I dont really visit this part of the forum and am intrigued as to what goes on.

Question: What is the purpose of this section and can anyone be involved?

Ta.
