Default Strategies against flick runs (please read)

Right people I think I have finally cracked tackling flick runs, I know Belgar moans on about how he's mastered it but he doesn't explain . so now I will and I'm very confident this works actually I definatly know It works .Basically its all about DISTANCES you will not be able to tackle a flick run up close if you mash X and A right up close to them it wont really work because while there in there flick run they do tend to have some kind of a shield that pushes you away from them and thats fine because thats the point of the move , BUT from a distance you will nail them everytime

The distance you want is about 4 feet ( or more ) from either the front or the sides I dont think it works from behind , and dont use the X button as low sweep only really works when tackling players that are dribbling or standing still, you want to use the A button because if you tackle at a distance while using A ( holding can help too ) you can see your player stretch in to the tackle AND he does sort of follow up with a charge but this only works at a distance because it allows the player to stretch from a kick/tackle into a slight barge which will make contact , DISTANCE ( 3 - 4 FT AWAY ) from them when you tackle a flick run dont go into close I know it sounds a bit tricky but honestly its not that hard,

I've used this method and I have won 5 games in a row ( all flick abusers ) at the moment its brilliant I'm starting to like the game again , I must have tackled there flick runs at least 7 - 8 times per game, and I beat a german guy who was level 15 probably due to flick running all the time and I beat him and he got mad and disconnected it will take practice BUT IT DOES WORK , REMEMBER DISTANCE FROM THERE FLICK RUN , then nail them with A

P.S let me know how you got on ,its quite hard to explain how far away you should be but, try 3 or 4 Feet away I swear its not a lucky phase I really am tackling them flick abusers quite easily now due to the right distance , ok at times if you do miss the tackle they will probably score but it takes a bit of getting used to

HAPPY TACKLING

Thanks mate - I'll try that against the computer later and see if it works. Should we do conservative tackles or aggressive tackles?

Just want to add a bit to your link bud not to tell you how to do it cause it sounds like you,ve got it pretty well sussed, but i seem to find pressing the L2 button as you go in works pretty well seems to narrow the angle theyve got to get round you. Just a thought....
