Default The FIFA Podcast thread

Would be kinda cool to see what you guys think about the FIFA podcasts

I just listened to Podcast 13 (nice work with the laptop, Rom ). For me, I feel that they're a bit long, and could be shortened by cutting out your friend's poor jokes, such as saying how Mortherwell, St Mirren and other Scottish teams merge into one, and hence leading to a long awkward silence You can tell him from me that his jokes would be better suited to an amateur comedy show!

Also, will you be answering questions from people on the EA forums, like Vancouver Blade () did for FIFA 08?

But yeah, good work on the podcasts.

P.S Stevie needs a haircut

Haha. I'll pass your comments on.

The challenge with answering questions is one of time-zones and schedules, but we'll definitely be working on that.

Great

So is the podcast recorded in the UK? I remember the FIFA 08 ones were recorded in Canada?

They are indeed recorded in the UK. Whenever we can, however, we also record in Canada. I then sit down and edit the bits together. It's a transatlantic co-operative effort.

I'm editing this week's right now, in fact. Three versions of it in total, the first of which can be heard during the EA SPORTS Live broadcast at around 8pm tonight. FIFA producer Marcel Kuhn recorded a Live Season update in Vancouver yesterday and just sent it over.

Oh no, I'm not suggesting that. Not that there's any writing involved, to be honest.

I have a joke

How many teams which play in Red and White stripes will be in the Premier League next season?

Answer: 2. Stoke City and Sunderland.

Couldn't resist

Default Hi Rom!

Hi Romily!

Love your podcasts with Stevie, just watched the barca one. You know what would be a good idea? If you, Stevie, Mike Takla and Marcel Kuhn did the Fifa 10 podcasts when the game gets released! What do you think?

Do you actually know who will be doing the fifa 10 podcasts? (well, it techically already is the fifa 10 podcast) but I mean when the game actualy gets released?

Thanks Rom!

Good question mate.

The reason the four of us don't do them now is that Stevie and I are in the UK, while Mike and Marcel are in Vancouver, there's a 8/9 hour time difference, which makes that very tricky.

As for the FIFA 10 podcast, that'll continue to be Stevie and I, plus the producers whenever we can include them.
